Thank you for even stating this, as I forwarded this on without going to snopes, but I know the story and this would not have surprised me in the least to further take down the U.S economy. I keep forgetting how only the few are allowed to go on list server without getting a crusified response, I appologize everyone... And thank you to those that have pointed out this snopes website that I had no idea even existed... Next time someone forwards to me I will make sure I look it up... Enjoy the day.

Snopes or not snopes, it is still a good idea to gather information from more

than one source. There is no such thing as an unbiased news source, because the

article reflects the biases of the writer or editor and where you get your news

reflects to some degree your political biases.

If there are sources of information that allege that snopes is a Soros

funded website, there is probably some element of truth to the information.

Outrightly dismissing the sources is a prelude to censorship and nobody wants to

go there at least if we want to preserve our freedoms.

The tone of this group appears to me that if snopes says something is incorrect

then it is even if other news sources say otherwise, treating snopes as

infallible. The argument to think critically applies to snopes just as much as

news sources.

Eileen - I agree with your first sentense. Thank you.Your second sentence does not make sense to me. Just because someone alleges something does not make it true. I have not been able to find any "reliable" info linking Soros to Snopes: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Does_george_soros_suport_snopesI also agree with your third sentence in part, as long as there is good evidence.
