I missed two workouts in the middle of my challenge due to the death of a

friend. I just let them go....

But in a situation such as yours, I'd probably do my cardio in the morning

and my LB in the evening.

Sort of depends upon the situation and the whys and hows of missing the

workout. You do want to allow proper time for recovery, so you won't want

to make a habit of piggy-backing your workouts.

If you miss a workout, it's usually best to just miss it. You don't want to

get in the habit of doubling up workouts. Once in awhile, if the timing

works, you may feel good about making it up, but don't feel like you have

to, and don't let it become a burden or a punishment. That's

counterproductive for your recovery and motivation. If fitness is a lifetime

habit, life gets in the way sometimes. It's usually best to stay positive

and get right back on track like nothing happened.

Hi ,

Thanks for the response. I feel a little better about skipping now,

and just getting back on track with my cardio today. I have a chronic

skin disease that flares up every few weeks, and when it does, there

is not much else I can do but treat it with steroids ( I have chosen

that treatment versus the endless stream of antibiotics that I have

become immune to). Rest and de-stressing help, along with special

treatments for the skin to keep infection down. Mostly it is an

extremely painful condition that affects the sweat glands in the

body, but not contagious. I don't want it to throw me off of schedule

too much, because I am feeling better.

Does anyone else have a health condition which affects their

workouts, and what do you do to work around it?

If stress aggravates the condition, then definitely let that missed workout

go and move forward! You will still see results!
