I think this fall their will be a new on-line and video course from Los

Angeles that ANY doctor can take for 'continuning medical education

credit' on CMT. More about this when I get the details.

I have a good CMT doctor, he is our surgeon. He made sure I knew about the

medication sensitivity Because I have my CMT kids. Lately I have been running

into doctors that have actually studied CMT.

I used to really be against CMT awareness. I would tell my regular health

doctors as little as possible about CMT. It was an invasion of my privacy I

guess. But now I am not quiet about it. I will just blabber because that makes

it easier for another CMTer that

the doctor may run into. I am all for easier and CMT awareness now.

We really have to know our CMT stuff and with and the Internet make it

easy. Last month I had a chiropractor tell me he knew about CMT the checked

Adam for " APE hands " .. OOO I wanted to strangle that guy! I felt so bad for

Adam he was really hurt.

Geri,

Email me and tell me where you live. I may be able to find you a non-

MDA doctor, but one that knows CMT, or at least Peripheral Neuropathy. Do not be

afraid of giving doctors information about CMT or talking about the ways you are

affected. Good doctors know that their " real education " comes from their

patients, not what they learned in medical school.
