Guest guest
Hello everyone, I am thinking of investing in a good juicer, to get some extra minerals & vitamins into us all. I want one that I can throw the whole fruit or vegetable into, & get a clear juice out at the end (Kieran doesn't like 'bits' in his drinks). I am wondering if anyone can recommend a particular model or make. Thanks, Louise.
Guest guest
Hello all again. Just found a previous link on juicers (oops). However, any ideas gratefully received. Guest guest
Louise, the world's best juicer is the Norwalk. It's a 2-stage juicer: step one grates and shreds the fruit or veg, step two the juice is extracted by a hydraulic press. It costs about US $2,000. I keep hoping one will turn up second hand for about £50 (ha! ha!). The champion is good. generally speaking centrifugal juicers don't get all the juice out and there is some oxidation. However these juicers ar v.v. cheap, and if you drink the juice immediately, at least the oxidation is limited. Guest guest
We bought a Matstone 6 in one model DO-9001. I has a powerful engine and all the component bits can go in dishwasher, all the pulp is removed. If you search juicers on ebay there is a big range and sometimes quite cheap. HAve to admit we used it loads for a while then stopped, it might be worth experimenting with a cheaper one before splashing out in expensive version. > > > > Hello everyone, > > > > I am thinking of investing in a good juicer, to get some extra > minerals > > & vitamins into us all. It is very " industrial " and heavy in a retro kind of way! I have been able to replace bits that have broken/gone missing with no problem. It cost about £250 but a good investment I think! Guest guest
Thanks to everyone for their posts on juicers. It is a great help, especially when I am thinking of spending so much money. I will do a bit more research then decide which one to get. Cheers. :-) > > > > > > > > Hello everyone, > > > > > > > > I am thinking of investing in a good juicer, to get some extra > > > minerals > > > > & vitamins into us all.
