Being a man, I am sure our views on shoes are somewhat different! That

being said, you should look for shoes in a style that in a man's shoe

is called blucher(the " Young enstein " aficionados amond us can

add your own horse whinnies). I don't know what he same style is

called in woman's shoe. They are probably just called ugly!

The blucher style has a band of leather around the front of the shoe

that connect to another piece of leather that covers the top of the

toes. These shoes have a deeper cut that leaves more room for high

arches, inserts, and AFOs.

You should also look for heel cup with lateral support. The good

support will help your leg without the AFO as your new gait may add

some stress on the off ankle.
