Guest guest
HI everyone. I am a 42 year old male, and was just diagnosed with glaucoma. It started on Tuesday night. I started having loss of vision like someone smeared vasaline across my eye. Then the pain started. OMG it was horrendous and nauseating. I went to see my family doctor who gave me eye drops and water pills. He called the eye surgeon immediatly and got me in within 2 hours, prescribed eye drops and water pills which I took immediatly. I went to see him and he was affraid the damage had been done and I had permenant vision loss. The doctor put an eye drop in every 20 minutes for 2 hours and my eye responded rather well. I went home, continued with the drops, water pills. Today I woke up and 80% of my vision had come back. I am still scared about what caused this. I hear you can have a brain tumor that causes glaucoma and that makes me very scared, especially for a man of 42 getting this. I saw the eye doc again today and he was amazed at how fast my eye recovered and seeing him again monday. He said I need further treatment, but not right now. What other treatment could he be talking about?
