Guest guest
The mOron bites. I played around pretended I was 20 lbs lighter, and it gave me about a 10% lower BF reading. The heck? When I'm honest though and I use it under the same conditions, it does consistently show a small loss that seems reasonable. I've never been measured with calipers - do you have to use a formula that includes weight with calipers? If not, I guess I just don't understand the point of the mOron using weight to determine BF. > > I added Krav 3 weeks ago and can already tell that my pants are > looser, my abs are flattter, and my butt is smaller. Guest guest
I am finding that the omron mathmatecally calculates based on the information you give it. When you use it, it sens the current through your body and gives it a calculation of what your body mass is (the current can't move through fat well) so once it detects you body mass, it will calculate what your body fat percentage is based on the numbers you gave it...So, naturally your body fat will be lower if you add a lower weight. I didn't see any formulas that use weight in determining body fat with the calipers. I know my body fat was about 1% off from the calipers with the Omron...The calipers were a $500 device vs. the $35 for the omron. Pretty close in comparison. > > The mOron bites.
