Guest guest
Dear ers, I asked CMT expert Dr. Greg about the 'high mouth roof palate' issue. His answer is below, below that are the questions I asked. ~ Gretchen " No, that is not correct...very weird too! " Greg " Greg, know this may sound wierd, but can a doctor look inside a person's mouth, see a 'high palate' and say 'this is CMT'? Someone on my discussion list brought this up and there has been some discussion. I'd like to know if this is some sort of 'old wives tale' or is it truthful? And then, if it is the truth, what the heck does a high roof palate in one's mouth REALLY got to do with CMT (except maybe something in swallowing/choking?) This is the first time I have ever heard of this high palate 'diagnosis' and I'd like some clarification to share with . Thanks and hope your summer is going well.
