Thanks, Anita, I read the file on the list - wow, that's great stuff, well done for putting that together. I've forgotten mineral oil which I only recommended to someone on this list a few days ago.

I kept thinking was going to get over this as he's never been like this. Sometimes I'm so silly. I thought Oxypowder was dynamite and could blast out anything, guess if he's got an impaction, it might take something else. Will try to look into the lecitins.

Thanks,

Darla xx

Darla,I was told by a DAN doctor that an x-ray, to be accurate, would actually need to be from three sides (front, left, right). Not sure if you'll be able to push for that much (I know even getting the x-ray might be a fight), but thought I'd share anyway.Have you looked at the constipation file to see if there is some bit of help there? It needs to be updated, but perhaps there's something there that might help down the road. Also, FWIW, I believe that ds's ability to actually have a bm improved when we dealt with lectins (by using lectin lock and soaking foods with lectins). I'm not sure how this worked, but I know that the lectins--which are sticky proteins--can damage the gut and somehow this made him unable to push out the bm, no matter what the consistancy. Of course, the lectins were only a part of it--it seems like for some kids you need to deal with a hundred things to get the bowels working. My son's still are far from normal, that's for sure.I hope your son is feeling better very soon. Poor little guy. Good luck with the GP. Anita
