Guest guest
I have chosen the young doctor with Muslim name as my new PCP, who could not let himself lose patients. When I came to visit him the first time my BP was 180/110 and he immediately said: "I have a new very good medication for you." I went through that many times already and this time I was prepared. I said: "No way. You will prescribe me this medication and I gave him a post-it with Eplerenon written on it". He looked on it, looked on me. It seemed to me that he never heard about this medication. Then he looked at his computer and, I think, figured out that it's a BP medication. Then he asked: "What dosage?" I told: "100 mg." I got the prescription. During my next visit to him in three weeks, my BP was 150/80, in three more weeks it was 130/70. I never had such BP for as long as I test it, it's more than 30 years. It still there after 4 months!!!!! And I don't have any intentions to do all these complicated tests to confirm my diagnose. I even not sure that I have PA. But recently I have done 24 urine, cup urine and blood test and all of them seems normal. Any good advises? Max. I have the same case- my aldo is low, renin is low and ratio is normal. I just followed the recommendations of Dr. Grim and started on 50 mg of eplerenon and BINGO!!! Nobody diagnosed me with PA. Natalia Kamneva 67 Russian F with left 1.5 cm adrenal adenoma, HTN and low renin , low aldosteron and high cortisol, K=3.4; eplerenone 25 mg twice a day works perfectly.
