Stolen?  You mean

" going-to-jail " stolen?  What

makes some CEOs do so well is government interference.  If government would lay down basic rules of

fair play and then get out of it, those companies would have to compete.  You'd see how lean they could get, and how

costs to consumers would fall.  As it is,

health insurance companies are heavily protected.  Why do you supposed they were so supportive

of Obamacare?

I

trust Warren Buffet who said that he pays taxes in percentage less than

his secretary who gets $60,000 annually. It's not a flat rate.

And

Val, of course, I am not entitled to what you earned.

But

the salary of $52,000 an hour for some CEOs of health insurances is not earned,

it is stollen from society. And golden parashutes are not earned. And

most economists say that it's not reach people who give a job to you and me.

Natalia, while you're busy

punishing success, should they pay more taxes and the same rate, or a higher

rate? Who decides how high the punishment rate should be? I'm sure

you realize that a flat rate would still yield more taxes paid by the

" rich " ? The only think I'm aware of with " rich

people " is that they gave me jobs. You want everyone equally equal?

BTW, no one owes you anything. You are not

entitled to what I have earned.

It's funny how fast from our

hyperaldosteronism discussion one can figure out who is democrat and who is

republican. As we have completely different point of view on almost everything.

I agree, as always, with Dr. Grim. Rich should pay more taxes than those who

are less fortunate. Thought that they work millions times harder to get

their money is ridiculous. They, for example, make fortune from producing

expansive drugs, and you should decide between food and drug.

They robe you and they owe all of us money at least in the form of taxes,

welfare for those who cannot work anymore and health insurance for everybody

who is sick and hungry.

I am pretty fortunate now, but I was once in these shoes and I never forget

this humiliation. Don " t be ashamed to get any assistance that can

help you to survive and live normal productive life. I don't believe in God,

but I am absolutely sure that's what Jesus Christ wanted for all of us - normal

productive life.

Natalia,

I don't think a single person on this site thinks any of us is lazy and so on

and so on.  We all know how sick we've

been.

I

thought we are talking here about people on this site. They are not lazy an so

on and so on. They are sick and they are unfortunate. I don't defend criminals.

Some people are truly lazy, some

want to party and take drugs, some beat their wives and have felonies, some

molest children. etc, etc, etc. they lose jobs or cant get jobs because of

personal decisions. the rich do not them a dime. there is a profound diffrence

between unfortunate and less fortunate. do not to spend money that does not

belong to you

There are some very honest businesses out there and you can't vilify all big business. If your boss tomorrow offered you 1 million a year and a 2 million bonus my guess is you would take it no problem. You would not turn it down out of some moral concern. You would see stability and a comfortable life.No one can deny the ENTIRE insurance industry on any level is wrought with fraud and unethical behavior. Just

think of what would happen if health insurance companies had to compete in an

open market with transparent pricing, no price fixing, no secret contracts, no

government intrusion, etc.

I am

my boss but if I had one who offered me $1 million + $2 million, you bet I'd

take it.  I doubt anyone on this list

would refuse it even though being rich is undesirable for many.

And

the rich do pay the taxes.  47% of adults

are net takers and pay no taxes.  The top

10% of earners pay 70% of personal income taxes.  The top 1% (the very rich) pay 38% of the

taxes.  How much more do we want?  All of it?

http://www.ntu.org/tax-basics/who-pays-income-taxes.html

Again,

you're preaching to the choir.
