I am excited, too, ein sof! (although I did NOT pee a little) ;o)

I have all the blogs set up in a separate folder... all ready to read their

takes on the 12!

Is there a date set for them to submit their Musks to the bloggers?

I need to read more thoroughly:

All of the samples should reach the bloggers and evaluators by June 30th.

During the week of July 1 - 7, 2010, reviews will be posted on the blogs and

forums.

I'm beyond excite...esp. since it was my original little blog post about

the challenge of creating natural musks that inspired it all....

I'm also pannicking. I'm one of those obsessive perfectionist people

that likes to fiddle with her artowrks endlessly till they're just

" perfect " ....and guess what.

I haven't had enough time to fiddle!

And it's got to be perfect cos it's up agains all these other great

perfumers and......

I'm still adding and rearanging the ingredients of my musk, reordering

components and swearing and crying cos its not " just right "

and....ARRRRGGGHHHHHH!

And whats worse I've got to get it finished in less than 10 days cos my

little bottles have to make it all the way from Australia to the US!

Arrrggghhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

(runs around in circles squealing and wringing her hands)

Anya, how and when will the evaluators from the NP group be chosen?

I wouldn't say that I'm up for evaluating either but I'll definitely blog about

the project as a whole, and take my chance at one of the giveaways. :^) This is

very exciting!

Thanks for posting in both places, Cynthe.

The five lucky evaluators from this group will be chosen randomly from

those who post in *this* thread. The deadline is Saturday, the fifth of

June. The winners names and addresses will be sent to the perfumers so

that they may mail you their sample of the musk perfume they have created.

If you have a blog where you can write about them between July 1-7, all

the better. Then you can give a link to your blog, and also post here

when other members respond here.

Those who don't have a blog should post here, so all can read their

impressions of the musk perfumes.

You don't have to feel you have to write a complete, lengthy, review. In

fact, the regular bloggers are encouraged just to write as much as they

feel is necessary, perhaps only a paragraph or two on each perfume.

I'm surprised more of the perfumers who are in the project aren't

posting here, after all, this group is the nexus for your membership in

the community of natural perfumery, and then the portal to the Guild,

for the most part.

If you've blogged about the project, or have posted elsewhere, don't

forget to take part here, since everyone here is passionate about

natural perfumery and supports your efforts in furthering the art.

Hi - I'll add to the thread too and cross fingers for some luck my way! :)

This would be an incredible thing to do! And a very cool thing to blog

about.

It's been great reading up on it - and discovering some new sites. I love

what the internet has made possible.

Best wishes

Johanna

I'm really excited about this project! It will be amazing to see what each

person comes up with =) I think it will show how versitile natural substances

are, opposed to chemicals. Chemistry's got nothing on Mama Nature! I'd like to

be considered for evaluation, even though I don't have a blog.

Okay, I'd like to put myself in for participation if possible!

I got to smell real deer musk when I lived in Japan.  I'm so glad to have had

the opportunity to smell the legendary substance!

Thanks,

I'd love to have a chance to try the samples. I don't have a blog currently,

but I'd definitely post here!

I'm so excited about this project!

Here are the five group members chosen to receive samples of the musk

perfumes and to write about them either here, or in their blog (give a

link, or just cut and paste your posts here) between July 1st and the

7th, 2010. You must visit http://naturalperfumers.com/apply.php asap and

enter your snail mail data so I can get the addresses out to the perfumers.

After all is said and done, it would be nice to have a coffret of tiny samples

available for sale. Reading about how every perfume smells will be interesting

but incomplete; the entire event will end wonderfully if we can buy an

assortment of 1ml vials. Optimally, they should come from one supplier.

Hello Anya

short post at our blog:

http://olfactoryrescueservice.wordpress.com/

We will be doing a write up on Musk scented incenses in about 2 weeks. Right now

I am blending up a musk, ambergris and aloeswood/sandalwood blend for the

incense heater. I love it but the cost is a little crazy!
