How one can recognize if meat is infused or not? Bying it in Whole Food or Trader Joe's works? What about restaurants?

Probably, dehydration???? While now I am strictly on DASH, I even don't put salt to any food, I feel much better.

Most supermarket meat is infused with sodium. You have to look for meats that are not. About 60 mg sodium per serving is naturally occurring. Anything above that is from infusion. We've found virtually no pork that is not infused.

No, I don't need a large cuff.

The problem is that when I take 100 mg eplerenone a day my BP is higher that when I take 50 mg with the same dose of micardis. So, I don't know where to move in dosage. May I take Micardis/HCT once a day instead of Micardis? It worked fine with me, but my sodium was low and still is on a lower border of normal (133). And now my heart rate is very high - 90 at rest and 120 at move. Don't know why.

Yes, I have. That's why nobody diagnosed me with PA. But I started to take eplrenone 50 mg a day and my BP is much better and consistent but it's still not 130/80. It's in average 140/80. And I am diabetic.

Again if renin is low aldo should be low NOT normal.

I was recalling that you had low renin AND low aldo a very rare combo.

My example. When I was hospitalized and felt like I was dying, I had low sodium in my body, normal aldo, normal potassium and just low renin. I also would like to know what is the mechanism that causes such extremely bad feeling right after eating something not within DASH? For me, it's almost all meat and fat including chicken and turkey. Somebody here mentioned pizza. I wonder if it's possible that it's hormones in meat????

No, but we also allowed vegetabbles, fruit and no fat dairy.

Can we live on that?

Unfortunately, all of us are prisoners of food corporations and supermarkets.

Who knows, if we went on a good diet 10 years before we got our problems, probably, we would not have them today.

It does not make ethical sense to provide food that is loaded with food borne illness to those who must use it. Would it not be better and cheaper and healthier to provide healthy food like rice and beans/

Same in prison. It is unethical to feed prisoners unhealthy food as they have not choice.

Forcing them to eat stuff loaded with foodborne illness is cruel and unusual punishment.

All good Republicans should be up in arms about this as the food borne illnesses maim the prisoners and we have to pay for the illnesses engendered.

Not to mention that if they die before serving their complete sentence society and Republican's do not get to see them suffer enough.

I am sorry, I found them. No, what I wanted to ask - how to diagnoze pheochromocytoma? As far as I could figure out from my doctors, they really don't know for sure if you have lipoma, adenoma, pheochtomocytoma or cancer, unless biopsy is done.

Tested several times - no pheo. Since being on Lyme treatment, I am on only about 38 mg spiro compared to 150 before. BP is averaging 120/70. I expect at some point, I may not need any spiro.

Look

at the sodium content on the package.   Without infusion, most meat is 60 - 70 mg

naturally occurring sodium.  In

restaurants, I don't know how to tell.

Yes, of course. I saw 100 of them and I also was hospitalized twice. And they kept changing my BP medications all the time and almost killed me.

Currently I see my PCP and when he said that he had a new good BP medication for me, I asked him to prescribe me eplerenone instead. He never heard of this medication. I am on it and onn DASH for a month now and my BP and my health condition is much, much better. The worst BP that I have now is 150/80 ( was yesterday before gynecological surgery) and right after surgery it was 130/80. Comparable with 245/137 that I pretty often had 3 - 4 months ago, it's a huge progress. But I started to have a very high heart rate, what bothers me.

I don't know what state you live in but many states have state funded nutrition programs. A nutritional expert comes to your home and educates you on the healthiest foods and ways to prep them based on your food budget. Our program in Oklahoma is through the Oklahoma State University Extension Office.

Just something to research in your area...hope that helps some.

By too much energy to fix Are u referring to gas or electricity ? Beans are very easy to fix. Cover with water over night and then simmer or ow cook till done. One thing to avoid is anything that says always tender or tender. This

is code for something soaked in a brine solution. Also, I have not foudn

any pork that is not soaked in a brine solution, so I usually avoid it.

Another thing I do is ask to person at the meat counter questions. I

have found out that some specialty poultry products like whole turkeys

are also soaked in brine solutions. If you get an all natural one, you

can get one without, but the safest thing to do is ask the butcher to

confirm.

Restaurants are good at turning a healty meal into a sodium and fat

laden minefield. In a restaurant, you can pretty much assume that

everything is filled with fat and sodium unless you tell them not to add

it. You have to ask lots of questions about the preparation and tell

them not to prepare with added fats, salt, etc. Avoid soups and most

salad dressings as they typically are filled with fat and sodium.
