MDA's Jerry out of hospital

Comedian Jerry is back working the phones for the annual MDA

Labor Day Telethon as he recuperates on his boat in San Diego,

California after heart surgery, his manager said.

" He's recovering and already working on the Telethon " , said his

longtime manager Marghiliano, refering to ' benefit for

the MDA.

was released from the hospital Saturday after having heart

surgery to insert a stent in an artery after a June 11 heart atack. He

is also taking medication for pneumonia, which often strikes people

with pulmonary fibrosis, a lung ailment has been fighting since

the year 2000.

MDA raises funds each each through the Labor Day Telethon to benefit

over 40 neuromuscular disorders, including CMT.
