Guest guest
After 20 years, 3 Neurologists, 3 Orthopedist, 2 Pshyatrists and 4 Orthotists telling me I had CMT I've always had this nagging suspision that I didn't have it. A couple of months ago I decided that I wanted to know beyond the shadow of a doubt what was wrong with me so I went to a Neurologist and told him I was diagnosed with CMT many years ago and wanted to confirm...he confirmed it based on an examination. Not satisfied, I went to another Neurologist and never mentioned anything about CMT. He examined me, did an EMG and said I had CMT. I asked him if he was 100% positive and that there was nothing else it could be. He sais " Yes, it's definitly CMT " . Still not convinced, I decided to go to an MDA clinic. The Neurologist there looked at my EMG, examined me and said " This doesn't look like CMT to me " . She took blood and based on that is " convinced " that I don't have CMT....the question now is " what is it " ? I'm determined to find out what's wrong so I'm going to continue to work with the MDA doctor...how frustrating is this though? I only hope that I don't have something worse!
