Date: Fri, 4 Jun 1999 13:36:38 EDT Subject: Stamps Message-ID: <92a3a6d4.248968a6@...> I received the following via email several days ago. I checked at the post office today and found out that it is for real. However, they told me the stamps were selling as fast as they got them in. Please check with your Post Office and buy some!! Bob THIS WILL PROBABLY BE THE ONLY CHAIN LETTER YOU WILL EVER RECEIVE FROM ME! Date: Friday. June 4th ......Subject: Stamp This is one note I'll gladly pass on. The notion that we could raise $16 million by buying a book of stamps is powerful! As you may be aware, the U.S. Postal Service recently released its new " Fund the Cure " stamp to help fund breast cancer research. The stamp was designed by Ethel Kessler of Bethesda, land. It is important that we take a stand against this disease that kills and maims so many of our mothers, sisters, friends. Instead of the normal $.33 for a stamp, this one costs $.40. The additional $.07 will go to breast cancer research. A " normal " book costs $6.60. This one is only $8.00. It takes a few minutes in line at the Post Office and means so much. If all stamps are sold, it will raise an additional $16,000,000 for this vital research! Just as important as the money is our support. What a statement it would make if the stamp outsold the lottery this week or outsold tickets to the latest " hot " movie! What a statement it would make that we care. I urge each of you to do two things TODAY: 1. Go out and purchase some of these stamps. 2. E-mail your friends to do the same. Many of us know women and their families whose lives are turned upside-down by breast cancer. It takes so little to do so much in this drive. Please help!! ________________________________________________________________ Why pay more to use the Internet? Guest guest
, thank you very much for this. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE send emails like this to the entire Cure Drive. I will forward this one for you but please remember to do it from now on. Just hit REPLY to send your response and it will go there. You can CC me just to be safe. It is very important for other colleagues to see how you use the lessons to make connections on your own. Someone will " click " on something you said and your email could end up causing any number of cures and symptom reductions/disappearances. (Then you can access how many cures you ignited and enter it in the poll. We want mind-blowing numbers in that poll!) Thanks again - it is very heartening to hear about your results and especially to know that people are using the lessons to dig further. That's the whole point of our sending the lessons in the first place.
