Guest guest
Hello , How's your heart rate now? When I have a bout of tachycardia I am to stop doing what ever I'm doing, sit down in a reclining position and RELAX. If it continues to go up or any signs of a possible heart attack I am to go to ER immediately by rescue. That is the warnings my Dr. has told me to do, I presume everyone is different. My heart races over 250 beats per min. and it is controlled by medication to stay under 90 per min, but it does flare at least once or more a week. I was told it's due to an electrical problem with one of my valves. Surgery could be done but there is no guarantee for me it will get better, it could also get worse so I have opt out of the surgery at this time and play it by ear. If yours doesn't come down you should go to ER and get it checked out as you already have heart issues. Stress is a big issue too, so try and stay calm. Please keep us updated!!! ((( Gentle Hugs ))) Helen HelloMy heart rate has been above 100, up to 118 today and I'm feeling really faint. Probably some med interaction or something and the extra strong coffee this morning probably didn't help. I'm just trying to sit still to wait till it comes down but I was wondering if there was anything anyone did when their heart rate was running high? Maybe drink more fluids? More fluids are probably not a good thing given my congestive heart failure. My guess is that a couple more hours should bring it down below 100.Regards, "When life's problems seem overwhelming, look around and see what other people are coping with. You may consider yourself fortunate." Guest guest
Hello HelenI'm taking the relax route right now though I'm not where I can recline. The pulse rate is down to 104 now and I'm feeling better. I keep reminding myself of how it was 210 back in May of 2001 when I finally wasn't bed bound and started to improve. Hard to imagine that 210 used to feel good. I'm not real fond of ER's anymore, it always seem to result in a four day stay at $1,000 a day. Can't really calm down, turns out that girl I had been seeing was slipping my atm card out of my wallet, making withdrawals and slipping it back into my wallet. Found that out when there were a number of withdrawals on April 1 and I hadn't even left the house yet, she had just showed up asked me to make breakfast, apparently so she could slip the card back into my wallet, she excused herself when I logged on and noted the unusual activity, she called from the freeway crying that she thought she had permission to do it, I called the police. I have no idea how long this has been going on but it explains why money has been so tight.Regards, Hello , How's your heart rate now?
