Guest guest
 A happy event for a once, from Italy, the slow movement is arriving in french towns, Segonzac is the first one, 2 other cities have made the papers too. Sounds good to put ecological matters at the right place in a whole ciy. Here are some informations in English http://www.cittaslow.org.uk/index.php?Pid1=1 & PLv=1 XXX OOO , It would be interesting to know what the 50 values are. I couldn't find it in their website just general info. How can one tell if it is a good idea without the details? Guest guest
I could not send here the french informations on this english list^^ and thought that it should me, more or less, the same.... It is not, all the more as each cittaslow is focused on case studies more than the goals, which are only a start, a kind of tool. We've seen a lot of things about that on TV, papers, internet, in french. The people of Segonzac simply said that it was because they were still living this way, since a long time, ignoring this cittaslow label, that the administrative stuff and labelization was so simple and easy. But I agree with you, damned cartesians^^ " Whatever is well conceived is clearly said... and the words to say it flow with ease. " Boileau is right too. I would like to see in details the 50 goals, I sent a mail to the italian website. I guess that any applicant can ask for the application form (maybe only for maiors ???) Here is the UK a link wih details http://www.cittaslow.org.uk/page.php?Pid1=5 & Pid2=9 & PLv=2 he more details http://www.cittaslowmold.co.uk/english/index.php/goals/ it seems to be an application form for the maiors, a sort of MCQ, which is the start of the work between the committee, and the city. The label is only given for 3 years.
