I hear ya, Kassia. I try so hard to get into the Christmas spirit, but it seems like everything is so out of whack. I have to admit, I'll be glad when the new year comes and things get back to normal, at least my version of normal. :P

good afternoon all, i got in another workout last night doing a virgin workout(had this one for one year, got it for gift last xmas). carmen electra's fit to strip. this is disc 2 in her striptease series. this is NOT a dance one and its really led by micheal carson. its all bodyweight toning exercises. it starts with functional cardio-paced movements for a warm up. doing a wood chop with squats leg lifts with overhead presses for about 10 mins. this was actually good. next is 20 mins of floor work for abs/back and glute work including some of my old time favorites donkey kicks, butt blasters, and bridges.the next segments are all short 10 mins isolation target toners. first is lower body which has fast paced squats, lunges, and some more bridge work. next is abs doing floor work and some seated in a chair work. and the last is upper body with some isometric squeezes, push ups, dips, and posture work. overall its nothing exciting but makes for a great

travel workout when all you have with you is a chair(or a table or anything you can use in its place. i used my high step for seated work). he also recommends adding anything like weight balls or weights etc for extra resistance when the moves become easy.they don't do a whole lot of reps but as micheal says its the quality onto which you do the movement that counts more then the quantity. so to get a workout, not a killer workout, but a pretty decent workout with body weight this is a pretty good one. it would have been nice to have more push ups though. i think those would have been the ultimate upper body move.this morning viola dumped hot chocolate on my club step so while that is drying after a good cleaning i figured i can use my high step to get a step workout in. i did HSTA warm up and cardio then moved to HSCircuit cardio and stretch. it wasn't a long workout but a good quick step workout. i am going to have to movtivate to get some power yoga in

later to make up for lack of cardio. my sis is suppose to be here tomorrow so when i was rushing around cleaning up earlier viola was busy messing other things up. i seriously can't wait for xmas to be done with so i can get my workouts back LOL. being so busy and so much going on has started to cut into workout time and while a short workout is better then no workout, i still feel guilty for not getting longer workouts in. have a great daykassia ldy_solana's domain Too many people spend money they haven't earned to buy things they don’t want to impress people they don’t like.-Will

We're supposed to get 8"-12" ourselves (up from 6"-8" forecasted yesterday)... we never do get quite that much anymore (we did when I was a kid) but we'll see. DH called to make sure we were on the list to get plowed from a service we've used the last 2 years but so far we haven't been called back yet. I hope we are! I can do some shoveling but not 8"-12" worth and we've got a circular driveway with a rather long straight part from the garage!

not at the prices i see out there. if its something you wanna try i suggest taking on netflix and trying through them, its an aquired taste. i like the hip hop dance, this one, and i have warmed up to the first disc. the others i haven't tried yet, and most places do sell the dvds individually so if all else fails then this one is worth a go around. its chaptered well for shorter workouts as well. oh viola was in trouble b/c i told her 20 times this morning to stay off the step!! she was even trying to do stunts and get her scooter up there. man i was mad!!! i came across this step by chance there is no way i could afford to replace it if she rips the rubber top on it. she had my foam one but it got so banged up and started falling apart i had to trash it. i guess i should have picked up the beat up $5 one at goodwill when i had the chance. that way she would have had one to play with and dump hot chocolate all over it without interrupting my workouts LOL.

i am so having a fat month. i am about ready to just throw the cherry cordial kisses away b/c i think that is one reason i seem to be gaining a little. some pants are just not fitting right. :-(kassiapinkpussycat@... wrote: So overall do you think this series is woth picking up? Too cold here, too! Wow, you'd think it was December in Canada or

something, wouldn't you? LOL

We had fun at the bowling alley - took 2 hours, and my arm is feeling it,

and we won't know if any of us won until tomorrow. :-) My daughter's

tournament for tomorrow was just cancelled, because of the incoming storm.

We've had so many green Christmases here in Michigan lately that my kids don't even know what a major snowstorm/blizzard is (we're being told it could develop into a full blown blizzard). We called someone to get plowed out (who has done it for us the last couple of years) but so far the phone call hasn't been returned so I'm really hoping we won't be stuck making a million phone calls tomorrow and being put on the bottom of everyone's really long list.

I can't bowl anymore... the darn RA especially affects my fingers, wrists and elbows and the stress of throwing the ball just KILLS my fingers. I can bowl 2 games, maybe 3 but then I'm in pain for 2-5 days afterwards so it just isn't worth it. Sometimes we go with the kids and I'll bowl a game, maybe 2 but just watch a lot too. I'm so glad I can normally handle my dumbbells though!!

(who was a lousy bowler even when she bowled in leagues so it isn't a great loss to the sports world)

Are you snowed in this morning, Michigan? You and Jenn are both over there, aren't you? Thanks so much for sending it over the lake to us! LOL

It's lovely, but SW Ontario is pretty much snowed in. It's heading towards Quebec and New York, too. Everyone gets to share this time! I'll be doing a workout (don't know which one - probably on the tmill), and laundry, and baking, and reading. Actually, I love days like today, as long as they aren't a school day. <g>

I'm not good at bowling, either, . And I'm stiff from it, so that's tells you how often I do it. I was worried about my knees, but they aren't complaining much. They are a bit better, I think, over the last couple of weeks. I see the doctor again tomorrow, and I think I'll ask about physio. It keeps showing up when I research tendonitis, so we'll see what he says.

, whose kids are outside, again, building snow forts and throwing snow balls

I can't watch Top Chef (which I love) with DH around because he's always making obnoxious comments about the food or the chefs or the judges or whatever (nothing to do with anyone's sexuality, that doesn't matter to him but food sure does). I watch it anyway but I know the boiling blood feeling and have been known to threaten to kick him out of the room if he doesn't shut up. He does, for a while anyway.

Yep, we are snowed in. Glad you're finding it lovely too! ;-) Got a call this morning from DH's mom telling him not to bother trying to get out for church (he might have too despite my telling him I wasn't even going to bother and he shouldn't either even though he was supposed to be doing stuff there today). He didn't (she said it didn't take much convincing so my bugging him last night must have done some good). I'm not sure what we have right now, at least 5 or 6 inches and there is more coming down plus more expected throughout the day. My snow plow friend called this morning and came by to get us plowed but the news reports are telling people to avoid traveling if they possibly can so we're not going anywhere. We've under a winter storm warning until 7 PM tonight. I asked if they'd come back if we get another 6 inches and she said they would. I'll be out $100 for it but it will be worth it! Jen is in southeast Michigan too so she's probably snowed in as well. Not sure how much they've gotten by her, we're about 50 miles west of her. I think there's someone else on this board who doesn't post as often who is on the west side of Michigan, near Lake Michigan. They typically get a lot more snow than us because of the lake effects. Not sure how much they have out there.

Anyway, we need to get our tree decorated. Then despite my being surrounded by baked goods and other junk food I might do my own holiday baking. I am going to try and get a workout in later but I hate working out with my family home. I'm more likely to get interrupted plus there's the tiny, I should be doing something with them, guilt feeling (it is tiny at least). I have a feeling the kids will be home tomorrow too, on what would have been my last "alone with nothing I have to do" day of the year before Christmas break but I'll figure out a way to get a workout in anyway, it is part of my morning routine so it will feel more natural than trying to fit it in on a Sunday when I normally don't anyway.

I'm off to get rolling on my day... rolling is a bad choice of words, I just broke into the chocolate covered mints... oh dear... maybe I should get that workout in today! :-)
