Guest guest
Oh, nice to hear she's a stickler for form! Now I'm even more excited to get my set, though I don't think it includes this one. At one time there was a T-Tapp instructor on this board - wonder where she went? Robin? Kris? It seems like I created this group just a few months ago but it's actually been several years! This is my favorite group of all. You guys motivate me so much, and you are all so REAL! I made my own Turbo Kick mix from rounds 22-27 to roll out to my classes this weekend. I had a blast making it and practicing it, hope they like it too! Kathy Vetro wrote: I think with all the craziness going on at work and home this will be a T-Tapp Bootcamp week. They always destress and energize me so I think the week before Christmas would be a good week to do one. Today I did T-Tapp Basic Rehabilitative workout which is the full body 52 minute workout with lots of instruction and pointers with Theresa. She is very detailed and when you follow all of her pointers, you definitely feel 'warmer' and more worked out. She is stickler for form and always cues the next portion of the workout quite well. Off to clean some more! Kathy
Guest guest
I'm planning on starting to do T-Tapp next week-- been reading her book again, this week, and previewing the Instructional #1 and Basic Workout Plus. The first time I tried to do these, back earlier this year, 's sing-song instruction style grated on me so badly that I just set them aside-- and actually thought about selling them. I hated to lose money on them, considering how much the set cost, though, and I KNOW they're effective... so I've decided to work hard on changing my perceptions and just DO this for a Bootcamp. My fibromyalgia has really flared up again, I'm 7 lbs above my WW goal weight, and even though I haven't gained all that much, I can feel my body composition shifting towards the negative. My rear end is spreading out so that my pants are getting tight. NOT going up a size. Can't afford to do that, either! ;-) 's emphasis on the neuromuscular and lymph systems really impresses me too. The woman knows her stuff, and Lord knows I need to keep both those systems working at 100%! Tapping too, soon! Tess-- "The difference between try and triumph is just a little umph! Guest guest
Her workouts are supposed to be terrific for people with Fibromyalgia. I found her annoying at first, but after a while you get used to her and once you know the moves well, you can tune her out. Guest guest
Hey Tess, I know it is hard to not be aware of the rear end spread but focus if you can on just taking care of you while you're flaring. I've heard the pain can be terrible and the fatigue too. Then there's the depression because of the chronic pain, fatigue and awareness of being over goal (those things I know well because of my RA). When you're ready, get back to your meetings too. Bite the bullet and pay for being over goal, you'll find you're likely to go up more if you don't because everything else is loading you down, including this and meetings will help you focus, even in very small pieces. That's the way it has always been for me (I came back twice over my lifetime goal and have found that if I keep attending meetings on a regular basis that it is the only way I can keep the weight off, I need the accountability and the group support). I will definitely look forward to hearing how T-Tapp goes for you this time too. I hope the workouts help bring you to a better place weight-wise and overall health-wise too. I'm very curious about these workouts because they sound so effective but I have a feeling I'd be bored to death with them (which wouldn't make them very effective for me). Sounds like a good thing for working out through painful flares though. Guest guest
- I have also heard that T-Tapp offers some relief for symptoms of RA. I had a link to a T-Tapp instructor who suffers with RA and says it has made her life a lot better and less painful. Guest guest
Thanks Kathy... more workouts to consider! :-) Usually I just rest when I'm flaring big time, the rest of the time I modify if necessary. Anything to make that "rest of the time" more comfortable is good though so maybe I will look more closely at this after all... Thanks so much my enabling friend!
