Guest guest
I meant to send that one to Fitnbusymoms...ugh... oh well - the secret is out..LOL...Darcy Okay, so I seen the doctor yesterday and have the pessary picked out I will be using. It sucks that I have to use this thing, truly it does, but I'm trying to stay positive. She told me yesterday that 6 months is an average time to heal up...UGH.. six months! I'm not happy about that. I hope I beat the odds and actually do heal w/out surgery, and it happens SOONER. She said I should wear the pessary doing every day stuff, not just for exercising...grr... It's not the most comfortable thing, that is for certain. Sometimes I can't notice it, but more often I can. Anyway, I did Turbo Jam yesterday and I could really tell. I think high impact exercise is easier on the prolapse than Turbo Jam. I think it's because your abs are always engaged and you are using those muscle to kind of " push out " . Needless to say, it wasn't a very good workout And I don't think I will be trying Turbo Jam for awhile again. Turbo Jam was the workout I was doing when I first got the prolapse, or noticed it anyway. I see Amazon has another video out there for pelvic exercises... I will invest in that one sooner or later too.Okay, done rambling...Darcy

Guest guest
Sorry to hear of your problems Darcy, I have a friend who has to wear a pessary, and she says it's working for her, so I hope it also works for you and you don't have to have surgery. Guest guest
I Googled a pessary and get the gist of your situation. Benson included pelvic exercises in her workouts to help women with incontinence but those exercises also help for prolapses. Back when I was taking medical terminology we discussed this and how having children can create muscle weakness (is that a politically correct way to put it?). You may want to invest in 's Root Lock and/or IndePrime, http://fitnessfavorites.com/index.php? Hugs,Vennitta Okay, so I seen the doctor yesterday and have the pessary picked out I will be using. I'm looking at another video too.. " Incontrol " from amazon. Darcy I Googled a pessary and get the gist of your situation. Guest guest
Oh Darcy! I hope you heal up soon. I know there must be pelvic exercises out there. Doesn't one of the Benson sisters have a new line of exercises just for this sort of thing? Good luck! Kathy Seen doctor yesterday.. Guest guest
Oh it sure can, we found out yesterday a family friend who is around 46 had his cancer return with a vengeance. The last time around they took a substantial amount of his colon but he recovered well despite his doc's poor prognosis. Now he has an inoperable mass resting between his bowel and urinary tract. He also has masses all over his pevic area. His family is devastated. He has one son in college and a daughter in 8th grade. This is so unfair. He is trying to get his insurance company to help pay for an experimental treatment in the New York City area to buy more time. I don't think he will live out the year unless he gets some form of radical treatment. The doctors could operate, but they would remove so much from the pelvic area that he would have to permanently use bags for any form of elimination and he said he'd rather be dead. Sorry for the drag on, I just feel so bad for him and his family. They are such nice people. Kathy Re: Seen doctor yesterday.. Thanks , you're a sweetey.
