Guest guest
Well, I've been discharged from the hospital from the longest stay so far (CHF secondary to cardio myopathy). But one event during my stay has me puzzled. At one point, they wanted to do an angiogram so I was taken to another hospital and since my IV was on the same hand that they would be going through to get to the heart, they placed another IV on the other hand. Shortly after the IV was in, I started dry heaving. Aside from grabbing a bucket, the nurse didn't seem too surprised and said something about my blood pressure must've dipped. They then just packed hot wet towels around me till the call came for the angiogram. I have no idea as to why I would've been heaving like that and I've never had dry heaves like that before. Does anyone know what it might've been?
Guest guest
I sometimes get the dry heaves during Plasmapheresis if my BP suddenly drops. Not a good feeling.
