I have to finish them today, though because we're changing ISP's because of switching to cable internet with our tv service, so I will be changing my email addy tomorrow at the latest. As soon as I get it changed I'll let you all know. Anyway, I've been exercising by training clients and teaching classes this week, but I did get my 6 videos in last week too. Guest guest
When I was in college I had both mono and EB virus so I know how fatigued you feel. At the time my dad was doing a lot of traveling out of country and he had the EB virus, so that is where that came from, wasn't sure about the mono, but I was working full time and trying to go school full time, so I was pretty run down. Just make sure you get plenty of rest and when you start feeling better, don't over do it because it could set you back. Hope you feel better soon:) How about Chi Qong (simpler form of Tai Chi). I pasted the following from www.exercisetoheal.com. What's the difference between QiGong and Tai Chi? Both forms of exercise share all the same principals of movement - relaxation, flow, energy, centering. The difference is that Tai Chi is more complicated because it is practiced as a sequence of movements, where Qi Gong is more like Yoga, and practiced one movement at a time. To learn a typical tai chi form usually takes about 6 months. Qi Gong is much simpler and can be learned very quickly. Also, tai chi has more of a martial arts application whereas Qi Gong is a little more health- oriented. Qi Gong is considered to be the mother of Tai Chi because it's about 3,000 years old while Tai Chi is about 800 years old. Back to Top. Do Yoga and Qi Gong have the same healing benefits? Yoga has great healing benefits. But, Qi Gong differs in it's slow flowing movements and focus on internal energy. This creates added benefit and cultivates more internal energy. Stretching circulates energy. Flowing movements cultivate energy and bring it into the body. Qi Gong has both > > > > Oh Stacey, I'm sorry to hear this. Guest guest
Hi , It is wonderful that everything is falling into place. I'm glad you're enjoying exercising again. We all go through those slump times. Donna Subject: updateTo: exercisevideos Date: Wednesday, March 11, 2009, 10:31 PM OT first: My kids' elementary school will remain open. I attended the Board meeting on Monday and heard the 6-1 vote to close the other school. It was not a victory because it was all so sad but we are still very relieved. That's a big thing off my mind and schedule (meetings, getting ready for the meetings, etc.) too. Next up is I'm serving on what is called a discernment committee for a woman who wants to become a deacon (ordained) in the Episcopal church. Our committee helps her discern her call, be it to ordained or perhaps lay ministry and recommend to the Bishop whether or not to accept her as a candidate for ordination. Our first meeting is next Monday. Hopefully these will only be once or twice a month. I was really flattered to be asked to be a part of it, as it is a priest from another church in our area that asked me (I attended a class he taught a couple of years ago and got to know him there), but it comes right on the heels of the school stuff! Oh well, I'd be bored if I had any time to be bored I guess! EV next: I've still been doing Maximum Body Shaping. Monday I did that, then Day 2 of 5 Day Abs (thank you everyone who helped, I figured out that if I hold down the ff or reverse buttons that it WILL let me do those things, if I just hit forward or reverse I'll get the circle with the line through it, still can't find any chapters but can at least move to the place I want to be) and then I did Open Heart beginner practice or something like that off Yoga Complete for Every Body (love this DVD). It was wonderful!! I miss my yoga! Today, I had a lot less time so I just did Maximum Body Shaping but I seriously upped my weights using mostly 12s and sometimes 10s for the lower body stuff and biceps and upright rows. I used 5s for the delt stuff and 8s for triceps kickbacks. I even got to use my 15s for pec flies! I pushed myself super hard and it felt SO awesome! I'm FINALLY really back to working out or at least REALLY wanting to. My schedule is still crazy but the DESIRE to work out is finally back so I'm trying harder to get them in. I was going to work out 4 times this week but tomorrow is shot. I have to drive the kids to school (DS has a big project to bring in and can't do the bus) and grocery shop in the morning, work in the afternoon and then have lunch and go to work in the evening too. But, I will definitely work out again on Friday. That will be workout #9 for Maximum Body Shaping. I'm trying to see if the "Visible Results in Just 10 Workouts" claim is true and with 8 down I can say it definitely is! I was getting soft from not working out much in 2+ months and the definition in my arms, stomach and legs is coming back, it is awesome and I feel so much better about myself in that sense too. I've decided this is a definite "desert island" workout for me. I'm not getting bored with it at all and I've really got down the few parts that I was confused about (because I wasn't watching carefully enough, the video and cueing are fine). After I do workout #10 I'm either going to keep working with it or possibly switch to another FIRM video or a few. I am loving the results from this one. Haven't decided yet but the cool thing is that I actually am getting excited about my videos and rotations again. Yea!! Gotta get some sleep now. Some day, I really want to get caught up on all the postings. I miss chatting with all of you! There's 600+ posts in my EV mailbox right now though! Guest guest
Thank you, Sara!! I have Tortoise, I'll have to try that soon. If I like a video, apparently I can do it multiple times. I did 's Walk Slim a bunch of times too trying to do one of her walk off a meal in whatever many days challenge too. It did do a lot of good too. I need to get bored more easily I think, I have so many virgin workouts and feel guilty about them! (The only saving grace is that I didn't pay for most of them.) Re: update Yes, good to see you, ! Guest guest
Well, I'm home now, finally!! Ended up being in the hospital 2-1/2 days down in Rochester. My aldo tested 7 (normal <21), couldn't believe it was that low!! Asked the endo why it was so low after being high every time it was tested in the past. Said most likely due to meds I was on. Told her I was off all BP meds for 6 weeks when tested high in 2006, didn't have an answer for me. But totally disinterested in persuing anything at this point, I have to agree with her. So, back on Spiro....I was on Inspra for a year but when my insurance balked, I thought I'd go ahead and try the Spiro and it seems to work just as well as the Inspra. I have had a complete hysterectomy, so no female trouble to worry about. I will mention your suggestion re/the Nipride when I see my local doc next month. > > > My story is in the files, I have been diagnosed with inappropriate > > aldosterone at the Mayo in the past. i am here getting evaluated > > again, for more than the PA, I also have hyperadrenergic autonomic > > dysfunction, cyclic vomiting syndrome and daily chronic headache/ > > migraines.
