Aha! That's great ...always nice to hear the positives.

As some of you will know, I've had lots of problems getting Henry's dad to co-operate re gut, laxatives and diet etc.Well, we now have instructions form a Consultant paed at the hospital that Henry should be on daily laxatives. (Three of five radio opaque markers still in the rectum five days after swallowing them.)But today we also saw an NHS dietician at the hospital(you can only get to see her via a Consultant referral) who supports and is on top of gfcfsf etc. Who knows about and may use later down the line LOD and low-salycilate diets (!) and asked what supplements H was on and appeared to understand and support this line of action re the gut.So perhaps I can finally get Dad to stop giving Henry toast etc.had warned me NHS dieticians might cause problems re biomed, but this one will provide some necessary official back-up to support what I have been trying to do via Jean. Now that would be a great idea, putting up a page on TA. That means that anybody going to Wikipedia and searching for "autism" has a better chance of coming across TA than if they just googled on the open net.

Who is she Margaret? Name rank and number? Hospital? You could ask her

the basis for her thinking and about dietician training etc. There is

stuff in the medical literature about the usefulness of the GFCF diet.

think now and again we NEED to hear a story like that, It makes me feel like we’re

not all banging our heads against brick walls and that maybe slowly slowly we might be getting somewhere. I  just googled

autism out of interest and the results were much better than when we first googled it two and a half years ago. Back then all you got

was ‘lifelong’ and ‘NAS’ and lots of gobbledygook

science. Now you get things like wikipedia saying

some people say it’s treatable but that’s controversial and it

lists all the things that people say can help. Not perfect but moving forward. Didn’t notice any treatingautism

there though.

the way, three out of five markers left sounds pretty bad, poor Henry and poor

you! Well, at least you can get it sorted now.

Yes! also maybe a short paragraph on what biomed situation is like in

the UK (NHS) = nonexistant! just to make it clear that the establishment

is sitting on its ass and neglecting to look into this.

this may get us even more publicity.
