I had the fusion - it was the BEST thing for me, the surgeon was top notch, he did his BEST work, then I did my best work in PT and now 4 years later, I am able to move around every which way even better than before. I didn't have to make many 'life' adjustments, but knew that exercise/aquatics would be the key. Voila. It is. (I had the fusion using my own bone too, not donor bone) Any adjustments I had to make were really temporary, but following recovery, I made some healthy lifestyle changes, like stopped drinking coffee, went on a macrobiotic diet/nutrition plan first, then went to a vegetarian plan, other stuff too. ~ Gretchen Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
