And DASHing will minimize need for sprio and K. If you can do it.I have located a type of dipstick that can be used to test how much sodium is one's urine. This is the only way to be sure you are DASHing enough to get an effect. I should have more information next week. CE Grim MDI mean the serum aldosterone level is 110. My blood pressures are usually pretty okay - depending on time of day they can be 120/78 to maybe 140/90, but never higher than that unless I am in some kind of medical crisis. (As in status asthmaticus or diabetic crisis.) I take 350 mg of spiro daily. I am aware that one Klor-Con is almost nothing but that is a level that seems to work at keeping the serum potass level around 4 (in spite of 350 dy of spiro), as well as helping with the effects of low potassium (fatigue especially) and helps keep my other lytes, etc. in balance. Oh BTW - I specifically asked for my last blood draw to be w/o the tourniquet, and no slapping the vein, etc. about a month ago. I might as well have said I want you to do this surgery without anesthesia. The tech came unglued, asked all kinds of questions about where and why I "came up with that idea", the family doctor was almost as bad or worse. (But she does acknowledge the "hyperaldosteronism" diagnosis that I have carried for 20 plus years now and tries to "work with me" on issues that I may have. It is a rough world when you must be your own physician in a place away from medical care for the most part. I do so wish I could draw my own blood, ask for what tests to run, write my own scrips! But overall since my diagnosis 32 years ago, and lots of learning and adjustments, I have decided to keep doing what I am doing since it is "working." My last MRI showed left adrenal gland atrophy, not changed from previous. I can't remember when the previous was, but the "no change" I can live with. > >> > From: hyperaldosteronism <hyperaldosteronism > > >> > Subject: Digest Number 2645> > To: hyperaldosteronism > > Date: Wednesday, May 12, 2010, 11:55 AM> >> > Conn's Syndrome and related problems> > Messages In This Digest (3 Messages)> >> > 1a.> > Anybody there?
