Hi Neil, I referred my 83 year old auntie with severely degenerated hip and knees to Bridghid McMonagle ND in Lake Oswego (works out of Kathleen Galligan’s clinic) about 3 or so months ago.  She has had 5 sets of injections about 3 weeks apart.  My aunt loves Dr. M.  The injections she describes as a subtle feeling of pressure.  She feels better (procaine) shortly after the injections.  Some people have a mild discomfort within days of the injections.  She has had none.  Changes in the beginning were subtle as one would expect of a therapy designed to induce a healing reaction as opposed to suppress a symptom.  Improvement has built more rapidly with each visit.  Currently my aunt estimates that she is around 70% improved overall and one knee has been slower to respond probably indicative of a different degree of degeneration when she began treatment.  Crepitus is greatly reduced, pain is way down, and her speed of getting up and down from a chair or walking is much better. Dr. McMonagle has emailed me after each session to let me know how things went and cost (pretty reasonable).  I’m very impressed with the prolozone and I think that it offers something clearly better than the generally good results I know of from ND friends who study NMT with me, mostly in Canada who do prolotherapy without the ozone due to some licensing issues in regard to ozone for NDs (they can do it but have to take a bunch of hours CE). I would not hesitate to recommend prolozone and Dr. McMonagle.  She trained with Shallenberger’s people. Cheers, S. Feinberg, D.C. Rita and I just had dinner with a lovely 80+ year young couple that is undergoing this treatment by an ND and says it is helping her DDD. Comments? As always, thanks for responding with your wisdom. Neil R. Cohen, D.C.
