Hi Dr. Grim

As of now I am off the K and was instructed to take the BP meds only if my BP is over 140/90 the Meds are Metoprolol 50 MG twice a day, Amlodipine 5MG once a day, Levothyroxine 100 MCG once a day in the morning. I never Dashed and never took Spiro and had a very rough road with symptoms until I started to figure out with the help of God, what to eat and what not to eat because all the Doctor were looking at me like I was crazy when I would show up in the ER with all these symptoms. will have to post my story have been to the ER more than 30 times because I thougth I was dying and nobody knew what was wrong with me

Oh K is 5.0 and I no longer get up to pee at night but I do sweat a lot now before I didn't sweat at all for years

Interesting on the sweating. As aldo makes the sweat gland retain salt it might affect sweat volume. Will need to add a pre and post question about sweating. It seems the no sweating is a problem that I have seen on other sites as well as

this one. I haven't noticed the no sweating but sometimes have a somewhat higher

temp around 99.

I also do not sweat and I haven't for years. I am always cold. I have always said I can't til I go through "the change" so I can have some hot flashes. Sent from my iPod

Profuse sweating of the scalp was a major symptom of mine. My hair would get

drenched and sweat dripped into eyes with minimal activity like folding laundry.

Hasn't happened since surgery.

I have seen people on this site post about temperature and sweating changes -

feeling more warm or more cold, and sweating either more or less - from their

norms.

I used to be cold all the time; now I am more often warmer than everyone in the

room (and it is not " flashes " , it is all the time; like heat intolerance). Used

to keep thermostat at 70 and be cold, now it is 65 and I might turn it down

more. When HTN started 2 years ago, I was sweating more than normal; I would

sweat just sitting doing nothing which is very unusual for me; at that time my

renin was low, aldo normal, as in the first phase of PA in Dr Grims'article.

Now that has stopped, no more unusual sweating; recent ARR 28.5; waiting for

next series of ARR testing so no confirmed diagnosis.

I have seen people on this site post about temperature and sweating changes - feeling more warm or more cold, and sweating either more or less - from their norms.

I used to be cold all the time; now I am more often warmer than everyone in the room (and it is not "flashes", it is all the time; like heat intolerance). Used to keep thermostat at 70 and be cold, now it is 65 and I might turn it down more. When HTN started 2 years ago, I was sweating more than normal; I would sweat just sitting doing nothing which is very unusual for me; at that time my renin was low, aldo normal, as in the first phase of PA in Dr Grims'article. Now that has stopped, no more unusual sweating; recent ARR 28.5; waiting for next series of ARR testing so no confirmed diagnosis.

Profuse sweating of the scalp was a major symptom of mine. My hair would get drenched and sweat dripped into eyes with minimal activity like folding laundry.

Hasn't happened since surgery.

When you say in charge do you mean just list them?

How about:

Do you sweat profusely with little or no exertion?

Has the sweating effected your lifestyle?

(wearing moisture wicking clothing, sweat bands, blowdrying hair with air

conditioner and fan in room, dread dressing up and avoid social situations?)

Have you experienced night sweats?

Do you seem to not sweat?

As for your request for questions I wish my Drs. had asked I can't think of any

at the moment as my tumor was discovered relatively quickly after my sudden

onset of high blood pressure.

I consider myself a lucky one.

I would think that we need where do u sweat choices: head. Back chest arms belly legs choose all that apply Have any of the meds you've taken affected you sweating. Med 1 list of meds they have ever taken. This list should be populated from a list that is completed early on in questionnaire. If I am warm at all at night, I sweat a lot now. I have to keep the house

colder than my wife likes it and I hardly ever use covers. Even then, I

sometimes wake up and the pillow and sheets are soaked.
