Hi gang,

I am a little lost. So a kid in a car that was hit. Grandma brings him in to

get a checkup. Tenderness noted at C1, but this was preexisting and the kid is

on ADHD meds.....call me crazy but I think there is a correlation there.....

But nothing there from the collision. So how do I bill the PIP without a good

DX code? I am lost what to use.

PS. Anyone have any good chiro stuff on ADHD and treatment for the mom to read?

Sounds a little bit like, “Professor Plum In The Library With The Candlestick”.

Could you give a bit more detail?

How do you know that that C1 tenderness is preexisting?

“I think there is a correlation there.....”

Correlation to what?

We need your minnnnnnd Garreth!

Garreth, I think it would be appropriate to use an E code, like E812.1 (vehicle collision with another vehicle, passenger). That describes the reason for the evaluation, and will get your evaluation covered. You could also email Dr. Freedland and ask him. He may have another idea.
