CCO Your Patient's Public Comment for the Proposed Rules - Sample Email Messages!!

Dear colleagues,

We must continue to get emailed public comment into the Oregon Health Authority relative to the proposed CCO Admin Rules have your patients use their smart phones while in the clinic….last time we had more 10X the number of public comments

that any other issue had so it works……send them to:

I want us to focus on “Network Adequacy” as this is not defined in the law nor the proposed rules. We do not want the CCOs thinking they can get away with a “Token” or Token numbers of chiropractors.

Now here are just some sample emails

1.

To whom it may concern please, please make sure my chiropractor can get on my CCO network. I do not want to have to see a chiropractor that I have not treated with and don’t even know. Please make sure the CCO networks have adequate

numbers of chiropractors so my chiropractor can get on the CCO.

2.

“Network Adequacy” is not defined anywhere? Please make sure that if I wish to see a chiropractic or naturopathic physician that I will not have a long waiting period to see one because the CCOs have too few in their “network!”

3.

What will be an adequate network of chiropractic and naturopathic physicians within in these CCOs must be defined and it is not.

4.

An adequate network is not defined in the proposed OAR (6)(a) and should be otherwise the medically controlled CCOs will play more of their games when it comes to having CAM providers in their networks!

5.

Is my chiropractor going to be able to get on one of these CCO networks? Am I going to have to wait forever to see her or another chiropractor? These CCO networks must be forced to have enough chiropractors and other non-traditional

healers in their CCO networks.

6.

Network adequacy should be defined as the CCO having enough providers from each health care profession that that consumers do not have to waiting forever to see a particular provider.
