How to change your shape, not necessarily your weight ...

Some people may find themselves at a good weight for their height

(where friends, family and saboteurs say 'Oh you dont NEED to lose

weight!') but are wanting to go from squishy to buff or just drop a

couple of pant sizes. It all comes down to adjusting your bodyfat

percentage. You can carry the same amount of scale weight but

dramatically change your physique by changing the percentages of lean

to fat.

Here is a math example (note picture on bottom of 5lbs fat verses

5lbs muscle):http://www.geocities.com/jgrrl2/math.html

So when the scale doesnt show a drop, be sure to have tape measured

yourself, try to get a bodyfat skinfold pinch test(doityourself or by

a gym)or even use a Tanita (or like) bodyfat scale (as long as its

going down, you are on the right track even with a margin of error).

As a few examples from the BFL site(BodyChangers.com seems to be down

at the moment)here a few people who lost very little scale weight or

even gained some, but dropped their bodyfat percentages to reshape

their bodies:

Actually gained weight, but dropped her bf %:

Previously 'skinnyfat':

Only lost 4lbs scale weight but slashed her bf%:

So the above should give you a visual of what I mean - its not always

about scale weight, its more about losing bodyfat :-)
