Guest guest
Hi Annie, I've been very lucky NOT to have optic neuritis, though it often happens with my Dx of M.S.... You have such a LONG list of medical concerns, and do SO well in trying to keep them all addressed. I admire you, as well as so many others on the list!! Wishing very best SOONEST for you! AND hoping someone(s ) on the list will have had experience to share!! Pain came on just above eye lashes in left eye. I was harder at first. Now it is slighty larger, duller and obviously hurts more when move eye. Now I called my eye doc they did my catarct surgery, it was after hours on Friday. He knows of my neuromuscular disease. He said I should call the university clinic I go to and tell the on call neuro. I did not as if they said come it is an hour away, another city. If I went and was further exhausted I wouldnt just have eye pain I'd have a flare of breathing and leg weakness. Given I am not yet started on the big drugs this is dangerous. They are dragging their feet on my treatment. I saw my regular eye doc Saturday feeling she could rule out somethings. I thought it could be soreness of the weakened muscles in that eye tho as the pain continued that became less possible. They took pictures of my eye and did 3 other tests. During 2 of the tests where I had to concentrate on a point while clicking when I saw lines or lights I noticed right away that in the painfull eye a black area came in the inner portion of my eye. This does concern me. This eye doc has an odd personallity and I brain mush at appointments so her being less than clear has left me with not being sure what I am supposed to do. She did say she medically cant prescibe me steroids or pain meds and asked how soon I see my neuro. It is July 15th. Do any of you have experience with this?Annie
