Guest guest
hiya - just wanted to let michelle know that i got my HRM back from polar already! (polar canada, that is, which is located in quebec). i am really happy with the service... they only had it for one week. they charged my credit card $25.44 for the battery change in the watch. also, they called me on the phone to let me know it was ready and they were delivering it to me via courier. :*carolyn. Guest guest
That's a very reasonable price, Carolyn! You're inspiring me to use my Polar HRM. I had originally bought it when I thought I'd try teaching Spin a try, as you train in your heart rate zone for that class. I only wore it a few times and got impatient with it, but it *is* a very useful tool and I should reprogram it for my current weight, etc. then I can be impressive like you and and note how many calories I burned! On the other hand I might wimp out on a workout and then my number of calories would show what a slacker I was..

Guest guest
I'll tell you the same thing about the your hrm that I tell my WW members about the scale... the number is feedback... that's all. It is giving you information about what you are doing for your body. If it is what you want to be doing then that's great, keep doing it. If it is not then use the feedback to help you decide what to do differently (and of course, I tell them to talk with me, other members and the receptionists if they want advice, in the case of the hrm I'd say talk to this group). It isn't failure, it isn't a judgement and isn't any sort of condemnation... it is only feedback. Easier said than done I know but if you can wrap your brain around that then you'll find yourself using more positive terms (than slacker for one example) about yourself and your efforts and the power of positive self talk and positive thinking will boost your positive efforts and bring you more enjoyable feedback. I don't mean to necessarily pick on you , I just mean everyone who talks negatively to themselves about their weight loss, exercise or other efforts (which is probably all of us at one time or another and some of us much too often).
