Guest guest
I can only say that I had a very bad experience with a licensed tax consultant many years ago so I returned to my old CPA and have been quite satisfied ever since. The consultant said they could handle my S Corp but clearly could not. This is just my personal experience. Schneider DCPDX Docs... would like input on the advantages/disadvantages to using a licensed tax consultant over a CPA. Guest guest
This gives me an opportunity to inquire as to what all you are doing to attempt to reduce your tax liability. My overhead is so low, I get creamed and I know most chiro offices are pretty low overhead. Obviously respond off list if you wish. ph Medlin D.C. Guest guest
I would strongly recommend you get together with Jim Bowen…who I went with a few years ago and he and the CPA he works with that I switched to have saved me a ton of $$$. My only wish was I would have run into Jim years earlier… Jim Bowen has been a presenter and vendor at the OCA state convention every year for the last few years…great guy…Vern Saboe From: oregondcs [mailto:oregondcs ] On Behalf Of ph MedlinSent: Tuesday, April 10, 2012 12:57 PMTo: Charlie Caughlin; SchneiderCc: oregondcs ; oregon_chiropractic_association Subject: Re: CPA vs LTC This gives me an opportunity to inquire as to what all you are doing to attempt to reduce your tax liability. Guest guest
Seems to be the general consensus. May have to hook up with him for next year for sure! While I was a student at Life West Dan told us that almost all students begin as Democrats and then turn into Republicans after practicing for a while. I surely would never go that far, but by all means have a clearer understanding of what he meant. ph Medlin D.C. Guest guest
I am working with Jim Bowen now. He is great with finding and saving money for tax purposes. He was not helpful to me until my business started making money. His website is here http://www.bowen.us/. He will be talking at EPOC which meets at the Kennedy school in Portland tonight! If you have never heard him before, I think it is 40 dollars to go, which is the least expensive way to hear him. Otherwise he does regular seminars on Thursdays in Porltand and Seattle. If you want to set up a talk in your area though he can do that. His seminars are ususally 100 to attend. So chat with him and see if you want something in your area.
