Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for your email. Well, I am waiting to see the orthopedist and hope he will tell me more regarding my MRI and what to do next. I will need to wait for awhile because of the waiting list here in UK. Meanwhile I continue with my exercises at th pool and gym. I am starting today on Citalopram ( Celexa) and hope it will help me with anxiety, I will let you know in the future. Those drugs always takes 3 to 4 weeks to see some results. Regarding HRT my doctor asked for some more blood tests to find out more about my hormone levels. Considering I have CMT we need to find out if it would be safe to take HRT in the future. I just don't know anything regarding this. I looked at FILES, LINKS, DATABASE and did not find anything regarding menopause and CMT? To be honest I don't like the idea about HRT but my menopause has been very hard to cope ..more than 4 years having very bad hot flashes, night sweats every night and palpitations, depression...and me fighting at all times with herbs and alternatives remedies ..still very bad! So, I will see from today on if at least my crying and mood swings will improve slowly with Citalopram. Have a Great Week! A friend of mine really encouraged me and went with me. Now, I am so happy I have it. I don't use it all the time but when I use it it gives me so much peace of mind. > > I wear shoes with a wide sole and a thing on the side but I still was twisting my weaker ankle. > > When I use the walker, I have found I walk without even having to focus on my walking so I can look up and enjoy things around me. It has a seat so I can rest when I need to. I don't worry about finding a bench any more. It has given me more independence. > > And most of all other people are very friendly. Some people have started to talk to me, one time an older gentleman started flirting with me. It was so cute it made me laugh. I was wishing people my age could be such gentlemen. LOL > > I have been taking Cymbalta (the chemical name is duloxetine hydrochloride) for depression. It is also prescribed for diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain. I am not sure if they prescribe it in Europe. I couldn't find any info on it in the French physicians desktop reference for medications. > > Take care, > From the sunny side of Michigan, > > > > __________________________________________________ >
