Guest guest
Hi, I'm , 40 years old, just joined this group a few days ago. I have a question: is anyone else here doing Body for Life for Women, or are you all doing the original Body for Life? I'm in week 2 of BFL for Women. I've joined a gym (Duke Health & Fitness) and tonight after work I have my training session on the weight machines, which I've never used before. I'll try to post my " before " pictures later today; boy, they're tough to look at. According to the book, I need to remove 75 pounds to get to my ideal weight, which she calculates as 100 pounds for every 5 feet of you, then another 5 pounds per inch. So at 5'3 " , my ideal weight should be 115 -- which was what I weighed all through college. It's a big scary number, 75 pounds. But I'm trying to take it one day at a time. It didn't all go on at once; it's not gonna come off all at once, either. Anyway, that's me. Thanks for this group; I'm looking forward to " meeting " you all. best, -- Haywood-Cory Durham, NC laurahcory@... http://laurahcory1.livejournal.com/ > From: jgrrl2 <no_reply > > Subject: Re: back exercises > To: bodyforlifewomensclub2 > Date: Sunday, August 10, 2008, 10:58 PM > You could do a dumbbell lying row, shown here: > http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/BackGeneral/DBLyingRow.html > > Or shown here on a ball: > http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/ex/exercises.asp?ID=188 > > And similarly here: > http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/ex/exercises.asp?ID=41 > > > A few stretches for the lower back: > http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/ex/exercises.asp?ID=191 > http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/ex/exercises.asp?ID=17 > > > joni > > > ------------------------------------ > >
