Aging well with acceptance and gratitude

Is there anyone out there with CMT that is aging well, maybe who has

passed 50 and found that life has really 'turned on' for them, or am I

the only one?

Something cool about aging, a couple of years ago, Oprah interviewed

Maya Angelou, who had just had her 70th birthday. Oprah asked Maya how

she feels being 70. There was a hushed pause in the audience, everyone

was waiting for Maya to come up with something poetic, lyrical, or

philosophical. Then Maya touches Oprah's arm and simply says " Oh honey,

don't you know being 70 ROCKS?! This brought the house down and even

Oprah lost her cool.

I know Maya doesn't have CMT, but she has had some really tough

struggles in her life, yet, she has risen above them all and accepted

her life, and more importantly, aging, with grace and dignity, which is

what I am trying to do. What a stellar model Maya Angelou is!

My life, my CMT, etc., just keeps evolving and getting better each day.

Acceptance and gratitude are two of my most important keys.
