Guest guest Posted December 25, 2007 Report Share Posted December 25, 2007 I used to go in to work at 6:30 AM just so I could work three ten hour days and have Mondays and Fridays off. Then a co-worker in England found out I was in that early, which is already 11:30 their time and he would call me up in his very awake ish accent and want to talk with me about whatever project we were working on at the time!! I normally did no-brainer stuff until I was more conscious and his phone calls would about kill me. I finally asked my boss if it was okay to ignore the phone, especially since the only person calling that earlier was my co-worker. He was fine with it since the office didn't officially open until 8. A week or so of not answering the phone and my co-worker gave up and I had much more peaceful mornings. I've tried doing video workouts at 6 in the morning before and I've done okay with it... just prefer not to if I can help it... got my workout in despite interruptions! Way to go me!! I wanted to do Ripped to the Core today (for the first time, I've had it for several weeks from netflix and haven't been able to do it yet). I was almost done with the warm up and wham, the phone rings and since I hadn't brought it with me I had to run upstairs to get it. Didn't recognize the number so I answered it. Turned out to be a Brownie mom wanting to bring me a gift from her daughter! How sweet but can you come later? I'm trying to get a workout in. She was actually on her way to do the same thing and is stopping by when she's done. Then I tried backing up the dvd and ended up pressing a button that changed the channel and I couldn't figure out how to get my dvd player to work again so I had to find the manual and figure it out. Did that, started trying to find where I'd left off again and realized, I don't have enough time to do all this and still sit for a few minutes before I leave for work. So... I thought I'll just do Walk Slim 3 Miles for 45 minutes instead. Put it in and then thought no, I'm not sure about this either. Finally settled on Kathy Power Walk for Weight Loss and just did the 30 minute workout and the stretch. During the workout the phone rings and it is the WW leader I work with tonight (I'm a receptionist tonight) and since she usually only calls me for something really important I paused the dvd and talked to her (she was sick and wanted me to sub for her tonight which I'm going to do). Went back to the workout and finished it without further issues. Got some light toning in with it as I used weights (which I usually do with this) and worked really hard jogging/prancing so I made it worthwhile even though I didn't get "ripped" from it! I had ANOTHER phone call while I was in the shower but there was no message left so I don't feel a need to call that person back. Now I'm just waiting for the mom who was supposed to be here 15 minutes ago and I really need to leave in the next 5 or 10 minutes. I don't have her cell phone number either so I hope she comes by soon (not that I care that much about getting a gift, I just don't want to seem ungrateful and not be here for her). Anyway, I'm thrilled I got a good workout in despite the challenges this morning! Tomorrow morning I'm assisting in my daughter's classroom for their holiday party and then have to run errands afterwards. I'm hoping to do a short workout afterwards but am not sure. Now, I don't remember the last time I got a workout in first thing. It's just not possible w/ my kids, especially the baby. He's normally up at that time and I am taking care of him.
