Hey Pam,

Boy, hasn't it been rainy in the Northeast! We broke rainfall totals for May and

June!

I do my sandwalking mostly with high-top rugged sneakers. I walk the beach

usually with 2 dogs during all 4 seasons, so usually its too cold to walk

barefoot, but it is wonderful in the summer! The beaches I go to, near Upper

Cape Cod have rocks and debris mixed with the sand in most places, so you kinda

need shoes.

I love the beach off season, often I'm alone with the dogs, and the ocean is

wonderful, even when its cold, I love having it to myself. I find if I sandwalk

carefully, with concentration, really digging my heel in first, that 100 yds or

so is a good complement to a longer walk. I'm not shy, so you may even see me

walking backwards for a while to get at different muscle groups.

HEY Gretchen, thanks for posting the website for OPTP, I've ordered one of their

catalogs. I noticed one of those core balence devices somewhere, maybe a PT

office, and it seems like it can really get at all kinds of muscle groups all

over the feet, ankle, and lower legs! I can't wait to get one. Of course like

all excercise you have to use it.

HEY EdM from NH, nice job explaining the hammertoe thing! GOD BLESS all,

G. fom Plymouth
