Guest guest
Here are 2 articles on travel eating. I have traveled a lot during the past 4 months on BFL. I can't say I was too good though. Sometimes intentionally though, but sometimes not. I packed tons of protein bars (homemade and storebought) to eat at the airport and as in between meals. Although, I don't think you can take the homemade ones on the plane with you. I also packed a baggy of protein powder to use as an easy quick meal. I was staying with family so I went to the grocery when I got there and bought a few items like egg whites and fruit. My family eats very unhealthy food so I gave into the temptation many times. I also found it very easy to eat out at restaurants. Most places have good food to eat, and if not you can ask them to try and make something. If my family made dinner, I always ate it. I have made a decision that I won't refuse food offered to me by friends and family. For me it seems rude and over the long run it just doesn't matter. It doesn't happen too often but if I'm with friends or family those just end up being my free meals for the week. http://www.johnberardi.com/articles/nutrition/avoiding_vacation_weight_gain.htm http://www.johnberardi.com/articles/nutrition/not_about2.htm Lori > > Hello everyone.. > I just returned from a 5 day vacation and found it a bit harder to > stay on my BFL eats and eating schedule than I though i would. Guest guest
Thanks for the links about traveling and BFL. I just got back from a glorious beach vacation, but am having a terrible time getting back into the swing of things. I let myself eat whatever on my trip and didn't really exercise, and it this week has sucked! My workouts have been so difficult and I'm having to be really strict on my eating. I actually gained 4 lbs, and since I didn't workout at all, I know that it's fat!!! Anyway, I guess it gives me a new goal to work towards. I am traveling again in 2 weeks, so I was glad to have these articles. I also wanted to comment about the whole pear shape, bulky muscles thing. I have a decent upper body, but a lot of jiggle in my bottom half. I have decided to go heavy, heavy on my legs, because I'm realizing that I'm not ever going to be stick thin, and I'd rather have solid legs and a hard bum rather than what they are now. Sorry, I know you all probably already know this, but I've kind of had my own little epiphany here:-) Have a great day! Alayna

Guest guest
Ha! I was just on vacation and ate whatever I wanted too. I planned that though because I never gave myself a break after the first 3 months. I also didn't exercise but that was planned too. I doubt you actually gained 4 lbs. I'm sure it's mostly water weight. I felt so bloated and gross after vacation that I desperately wanted to start BFL again. I feel so much better now. It was like I was with family and just eating ice cream because it was there and I could, but I would eat it and feel gross. I'm sure you will get back into the swing of things soon though. I've decided to do the same with my legs. I'm doing heavy weights but having a difficult time building muscle (FYI for people who are afraid to build muscle). I still have a layer of cellulite over the muscle. But when I lift up on it, I can see beautiful definition:). Lori > > Thanks for the links about traveling and BFL.
