LOL! Maybe I don't but I need the stress relief if nothing else! :-)

I hope January and February are boring. Winter is already wearing on me though and we're expecting a big snow storm here in the next day or so (where I am I think they're talking 4-8"... 4 isn't bad at all but 8 is trouble). LOL again at winter being over faster in relation to how much I'm moving around! Too funny! Thanks for the smiles Carolyn!

LOLOLOLhang in there... december is typically a hectic time of year... just wait until boring january and february get here... and winter drags on and on in march. you will have more time to workout then... and it will be here very soon at the rate you are running around now ;):*carolyn.

Thanks Darcy!!

It's 10:00 PM and I'm soooo tired. I really want to go to sleep but I just need some time to do nothing for a while. Will definitely be going to bed soon though.

You are so smart ! I really tried to figure out when to get a 10 minute workout in today, I preach this to my WW members, but today it just didn't work. Sometimes I could probably workout for 10 minutes but don't want to take the time to get into exercise-friendly clothes, do the workout and change again. Just too much effort even though I know the workout would probably do me a world of good. Will have to try more tomorrow. Thanks so much for this wonderful reminder!

It sounds like you have a full plate for sure. I think its really important to take time for ourselves no matter how busy we are. I know that sounds impossible, but it can be done. Even a 10 minute workout might make you feel better and feel like you got something in.

I've figured out the solution to your problem with not enough time to workout. You should become an aerobics instructor and teach classes at your Weight Watchers meetings so that while doing all that you do to help others, you also get to workout. LOL I know there are days that I feel like there aren't enough hours in the day and miss workouts because of it. It's tough sometimes, but remember that you are still doing so much more then most people to improve your fitness level that it is okay to miss it once in a while.

HUGS!

nancy,

you sound really busy right now!! this last week seemed overwhelming!

there will be weeks like that where working out seems impossible!

i like tonya's idea about becoming an instructor:) it sounds fun and

it is true you would get regular workouts in because of your

commitment to the people in your class.

i'm thinking about the juggling act called my life and self care is

low on the list of priorities. i feel guilty about taking time for

myself...i'm going to try to break out of the guilty mind set and have

a healthy time just for me. the health club is probably the best place

for me in the mornings when my husband can be home to take care of the

kids.

Stacey,

When trying to motivate yourself to take care of you, think about the last time you were on an airplane. In the instructions at the beginning, you're told that if you are traveling with a child and the oxygen masks drop down to put yours on first and then your childs. Do you know why? Because if you don't take care of yourself first, you won't have the oxygen to take care of your kids. Its the same with other forms of self care. If you don't take care of your body, you won't have the energy or stamina to take care of your family. So finding some time just for you is really the most important thing in your day, otherwise you aren't able to care for everyone else.

Tonya,

This was just hilarious!!! I do quite a bit of "instructing" about exercise in classes and during one-on-one discussions with members so who knows, maybe this is a good idea! :-) (I have to admit, all the talk about Darcy's studying and all that for personal trainer certification did get me thinking about it for a few fleeting seconds but that is not really the direction I want to take career-wise, I just want the knowledge without all the stress and expense.)

You are so right, of course, about what I do fitness-wise and all but I've been missing so much with all the illness floating around here last week and now all the craziness this week. Sigh. I'm still farther ahead than I used to be though and at least I want to workout which is good. We've got our tree and are decorating it and the house soon. Monday is my last day for a few weeks with no obligations until DD's dance class after school and I'm really trying hard to keep it that way. I blocked off the whole morning for my workout already and am planning on the afternoon being quiet. Just have a new TV with dvd/vcr combo (all one unit, we'll see how it is) being delivered (early Christmas present from my dad, hopefully I'll have time to take advantage of it by Tuesday with a workout using it) and some Brownie moms coming by to pick up their daughters' nut orders during the day but I can sit home and deal with those temporary interruptions to my peacefulness.

Gotta get started on the decorating. Thanks for the support (and laugh) Tonya!!
