Thanks for the info Donna! It did sound like a fun day! I'll have to think about something like this for the days I'm actually home most of the day, I really like the idea and you make it sound doable.

There are some really nice jogging suits or yoga pants and jackets out there that can transition from workouts to daily activities. I will wear them most of the time when I'm going to be going all over from client to client and to the gym and trying to squeeze in my own workout. I'm the same way about my jeans, once I'm in them I don't like to change, especially my favorite pair. I've actually been known to workout in them. ;)

Hi,So far so good on my plan of mini-sessions today. While DD was at preschool I did Madeleine 'sWalking for Weight loss (, I think this one wouldbe right up your alley!) It has been awhile since Idid this workout and commented on it - so a brief rundown:3 10 min "walking" segments - she does throw in othermoves than a typical marching in place, but nothingcomplicated or tricky. In each of these segments youdo about 8 minutes of walking and 2 minutes of toningwith light weights. Often the toning has a functinoalflair as you will do some balance and rotationalmoves. Madeleine does an excellent job ofleading/cueing/motivating. There are two backgroundexercisers - one of whom is often a backgrounder inKathy 's workouts (Robin). Robin shows higherintensity modifications and Amy, the otherbackgrounder, shows more beginning modifications. Itis filmed outdoors which is perfect for these drearydays we've been having around here. No snow, atleast, but I hear we may be in for some ice over theweekend. I feel for you, Stacey with all thatsnow!!!!The workout ends with a nice stretching segment -about 10 minutes. In between the walking segments and laundry runs I diddo some of my P90X pull downs.Tonight I'm really looking forward to trying out thatballet workout while everyone is asleep. DH has toget up at 3:30 again tomorrow morning, so I expecthe'll be asleep or in bed by 8, DD is usually between7 and 8. So looking forward to some peace and quiet! After my workout I think I'll finish up my on-lineshopping. I still have cards and baking, but theweather over the weekend may be enough to get me goingon that.Oh, Darcy, I've meant to comment forever on yourcertification - first, my hat is off to you forstudying so hard with three little ones at home. Ionly have one, and she is pretty good at age 4, and Iput off a management training program at work and mybuyer certification b/c I just couldn't see how I'dfit in the extra time necessary to take courses atwork and study for the certification at home. I willsee how things are going when she is in school fulltime and I expect I'll be able to make some progresson those things then! I just don't know how you findthe time to study - literally, every spare minute ihave is filled - I do read (one of my favorite thingsto do in my free time besides working out andobsessing about workouts) but that is usually at theend of the day when I'm pretty dead tired and couldn'timagine reading for retention!Take care,Donna__________________________________________________________Looking for last minute shopping deals? Thanks for the ideas Tonya! I'll look for some jackets and pants during the after Christmas sales. I have a couple of pairs of yoga pants I do run around in during the warmer weather but they're not thick enough for outdoors in Michigan winters. I like the idea though of working out for a while, doing other things, doing another mini workout, etc. Can't workout in my jeans... I love them but they're just too warm and not quite flexible enough for that (yes, I've tried).

If I remember correctly, I think I paid around $800 for my two courses....ugh..... (that was with a $300 sale)Thanks , you are such an inspiration, and everyone else is really motivating me to truck right along as well!!

Darcy

Yes, and in addition to all these things there is the time and $ factor involved. My test was also quite spendy, around $300 for the materials and another $150 or so to take the test.

Work like hell, get it out of the way and do keep up with continuing ed credits so that you don't have to go through this headache again is the only other advice I can give! , who just renewed her AFAA :)
