Guest guest
This kind of reimbursement BS caused me to dump Lifewise years ago, I suggest you do the same. My time of service discount patients can see me for $40, why would they put up with this crap? R Johansen D.C. Guest guest
I dropped Lifewise a few months ago as well. Told them their reimbursement sucked. Had to write a letter to be removed from their fold; however, they tell you it will take 60 days to go into effect. Lyndon McGill, D.C. Guest guest
Not sure how we don’t fall under that category as well. It would be interesting to find out their criteria in determining this. I didn’t see the copay being 75$ though. I don’t believe it’s that high, but could be mistaken. We have found their Reimbursement to be FAR superior to CHP, ASHN or ASN. ph Medlin D.C. Guest guest
It applies only to new enrollees. This co-pay is 75 dollars for the first four visits. You will see this on their card when they present for care. It does not apply to current patients or ones enrolled via their work. Hope that helps. Guest guest
I received a call from Lifewise with an explanation on the situation. DCs have their own separate copay and it is not $75. The woman I spoke with was apologetic and stated that she knew that letter would cause confusion when mailed. , DC, FACO > > After seeing the $75 copay post, > we did extensive research via calls. > > There are three separate tiers, > one is primary care docs, MD family docs, NP, PA, etc > > Two is specialists, this is (I think) medical specialists, urologists, > surgeons etc > that is where the $75 copay applies > > a third tier is alternative care, which has its own set of guidelines, > usually a $30 or is it $25 copay, > and includes 12 visits each for acupuncture and chiropractic > (the big change in this category on the 2012 policies, is that the > patient gets 12 visits to each of acupunc and chiro, rather than combined) > > I hope this turns out to be correct, > as with a $75 copay, its not worth billing lifewise > > Marc > -- > > *Marc Heller, DC* > > *mheller@... * > > *www.MarcHellerDC.com <http://www.marchellerdc.com/>* > > *www.LearnLowForce.com <http://www.learnlowforce.com/>* > > ** >
