Guest guest
I would like to share my experience of social security disability. I filed for a reconsideration five weeks ago. I called yesterday and asked about how long it normally takes to make a decision. The lady said it had been way too soon for a decision and I would hear something as soon as a decision had been made. In my mail today I received a letter from my Congressman stating that social security had informed him that my reconsideration had been denied. Also, I don't think social security even looked at my new medical records because also in the mail today was some of my records. My doctor sent them to me instead of social security. That leads me to think no one even looked at my records. I'm really frustrated. I'm taking everything to my attorney on Monday. My attorney told me they deny about 90% of all reconsiderations.
