Guest guest
Lyndon, If your course has been approved by the OBCE, you can train, certify and give the test packets to any applicants even if they aren't going to work in your office. I have been doing this training for about 4 yrs. When I first applied, I had to submit a course outline to the OBCE. The manual I use is available at UWS in the book store. The test packets must be given to applicants upon completion of the live 12 hour class. There are certain parameters that have to be included in the course curriculum. My next new CA course is April 14 & 15. I recall hearing from a doc who was considering setting up classes in southern oregon, but never heard if it got off the ground. The OBCE has info on their website about course availability. Minga Guerrero DC abowoman@... CA training Docs: We are getting requests from random CAs to come do their initial training at our office. Is that kosher when they aren't going to work here? And are any of you getting those kinds of requests? Lyndon

What they want to do is come do their practical hours here, even though I'm not hiring them.
