I had a EMG test done back in August 2005. I know I have CMT but I

wanted to know what type, etc. After having one of these done when I was

in my early years, I was not looking forward to it. The first one was

too painful for me. After I started screaming & crying my mom told them

to stop. With the latest one I took some Advil beforehand plus I have a

great neurologist & I came thru with no problems & hardly any pain. I

was relieved. You should talk to your doctor to see if an EMG is

necessary. My neurologist left it up to me to decide after he explained

everything to me. I have no regrets about having the test.
