If you miss a meal or a workout, it's best to forget about it and carry on

like you didn't. That's the lifestyle. If you make a mistake, miss a

workout, eat something you shouldn't, you learn from it and move on. The

ability to do that is what gets you results and keeps you on track. If you

feel guilty, panic, beat yourself up, try to change everything to

compensate, you're just setting yourself up for more difficulties and

stress.

That said, if you're awake long enough to continue having normal meals 2-3

hours apart, you might get in the missed meal later in the day. But don't

eat too-big portions or have several substantial meals too close together.

That doesn't help you with fat loss.

Thanks a ton, ! BTW -- Thanks again for the advice on the

flaxseed oil and meal.... Already seeing results and I'm very happy

and much more psyched! My metabolism has always been so slow.

Apparently it is because I am always so afraid of fats. I guess I

just needed more fats in my diet and the good ones were the way to go.

I've lost about a half pound each day since adding 1 T of the oil and

2 T of the meal to my diet. Yay!

A pound and a half each DAY? Holy guacamole! You must have had a major

healthy fat shortage. Having enough of them in your diet really does make

fat loss a whole lot easier, not to mention all the other amazing health

benefits.

No! No! A HALF POUND each day! With still eating, I would be doing

back flips! And I don't even know HOW to do back flips!

BTW -- At our local Big Lots, I just found some Zoic low carb protein

shakes. (4/$4.50) Not too bad... 21 grams of protein, .5 carbs and

about 30% or more of most vitamins and minerals. And at 110 calories

and so few carbs, I have enough " room " to add in some carbs for

flavor! Just made myself a Pina Colada by adding 1/4 cup of pineapple

and coconut extract. :) This way of eating just gets easier and

easier, and the results are amazing. Thanks Bill! (And you, for

being a BFL guru and answering our questions!)

what was the advice on the flaxseed oil?

The advice was to take 1 tablespoon of flaxseed oil or 2 tablespoons of

ground flax seeds per day, and to consider it a supplement rather than

counting it as part of your food calories/ratios. For most people the

benefits of adding EFAs (fat loss, craving reduction) far outweigh the 100

or so extra calories.

Well if flaxseed oil will help with fat loss then I'm all for it. Can you buy

it at wal-mart?

Hi K Bella --

I bought my Flaxseed oil at GNC for $5.99/8 oz. Not sure if that was

a good price or not, but it was there and I thought I'd try it. It

was just sitting on a shelf, though. To me, the whole tablespoon at

one time was just too overpowering, so I mix half in my morning shake

and half in an afternoon shake.

I much prefer the whole flax seeds. I found a bag of them for $4.99

at the Vitamin Shoppe and store them in the freezer. (They had the oil

in the refrigerator there.) I take the seeds and grind about 1/4 cup

in my Magic Bullet about every day or so. I just keep them in the

container I ground them in, put a top on and keep the meal in the

fridge. I mix one Tablespoon 2x day with my cinnamon cottage cheese

dip that I eat with an apple before bed, mix it in with chicken salad,

eat it with my yogurt/cottage cheese/Fiber One " Crunchy Yogurt " ...

Basically I can put it in anything. I think the taste is much better

than the oil, but I use both because the oil is more concentrated with

Omega 3 fats, and the meal has the fiber and protein in it.

I found golden milled flax seeds at wal-mart in the cereal/oatmeal section. I

bought it. I will try it in the morning with my cereal.
