Hi ,

I am Jill and I live in between Manchester & Liverpool! I have CMT but they

are not sure if it is type 1 or 2 but I can certainly recommend my neurologist.

However he is based near Liverpool but it is just off the A580 (main road

between Man & Liv) his name is Dr Fletcher and works from the Walton

Neurological Centre he is fantastic, if I ever have a worry I just write to him

now and always kept a reply within a few days, now that's good for the

NHS eh.

I was diag. when I was 15 and I am now 44, if you fancy a chat get

in touch.

Hi to everyone else also and many thanks as usual to Gretchen.

Hi Jill,

This is a coincidence! It sounds like you live quite close to me, as I live in

Atherton, not far from the A580 in between Manchester & Liverpool Whereabouts

are you?

Thanks for the info regarding the Doctor. I had the choice to go to Walton when

I was referred by my GP under the " choose and book " scheme, but I didn't have

any information regarding which hospital was best, so I just picked the closest

to me which was in Bolton. The tests I am having done will be at Hope Hospital

in Salford. I think I'll go and have them done there and if I have any

problems, I'll ask if I can be referred to Walton.

If you want to get in touch, I'm usually checking my e-mails between 9.30 and

1.30, although I am going on holiday for 2 weeks from this Saturday.

Thanks also to Gretchen for the link to the website - it has lots of useful

information on it that I haven't seen before. And thanks Debbie for your

comments.

Best wishes to everyone.

Hi ,

Do I know Atherton, I use to work there at a Solicitors many moons ago, what

a conincidence!!! I live in Lowton, so it is about 5 miles away.

You will have to let me know more about yourself - email me direct if you

wish.

Anyway, have a lovely holiday and I hope to catch you soon.
