Guest guest
Hi Peta, Wow isn't he doing well :-)! Such lovely news. Sorry - no not getting your emails. But so happy you like the kefir! It's great stuff isn't it. Well done Charlie :-)! Best wishes, Sandy > > > > Hi we are about 4 weeks into coconut kefir and have just upped the dose > > to 2oz twice daily. Guest guest
GREAT NEWS Peta. we too are a little over four weeks, and seeing some gains as well some nasty detox, symptoms as if the metals are moving a bit or the yeast is holding on for dear life. I feel like the bacteria (clostrida) may have lost ground but the candida is a larger invader. I'm pulling him back a bit (a small shot glass after each meal and bedtime.) My son Phoenix is 13, so a bit more agressive on these things that have had a hold for a very long time. My own personal experience with the kefir is astounding too, but the difference too may be the strain of the grains that we're using from Body ecology. I guess a lot has to do with which beneficial bacteria is being cultured into the coconut water. we've started onto some fermented veggies. Very slowly.... YES! this route is a diffinite winner! regards- GAyle > > > > Hi we are about 4 weeks into coconut kefir and have just upped the dose > > to 2oz twice daily. Guest guest
Hi today, after feeling great yesterday, we had stimming for England! Kefir is really causing a die off. Dr wants us to maintain dose so we are going to do a 5 day course of diflucan to help with die off. Will keep you posted - why is there always a pay back to feeling good?! Guest guest
Peta-Always a rollercoaster ride. Interesting though the timing on your son's die and mine son's...I remember that you started the kefir just a little after us and now the symptoms of die off appear just days after ours... maybe something in that. I've been posting on the yahoo BEDROK (body ecology diet recover our kids)group. It's a wealth of information there too. Is your son getting any type of sugar at all. We're trying to stick closely with the Body Ecology Diet to assist this process. I found my son was doing a little sneaking in the fridge of some cranberry juice that has sugar. He didn't get much, but I was off on a training course for three days with hubby pretending to be me and I bet my son was getting into juice without notice. That's when the symptoms started. Have a good look around and see what might be feeding the yeast. After a week of major die off, my son was finally so exhausted he caught either a cold, or just the crescendo of die offs with cold symptoms. He's been sleeping now for a huge amount the last few days, and is appearing much better finally. Tics are subsiding..we'll see today one he's moving if that holds true. you just never know.... and what a fright it can be!! hang in there, Gayle > > > > > > > > Hi we are about 4 weeks into coconut kefir and have just upped > the > > dose > > > > to 2oz twice daily. Guest guest
Hi Gayle Charlie is low sugar but he does get some in fruit. Our dr says that he would have yeast problems even if he had no sugar. Has your son been gf/cf for long and have you been treating him a long time? I know 2 very nice people at the gym I go to whose son is severely autistic - he is now 14. The husband is off with depression. I have told the mother quite a bit but because she got chicken pox while pregnant she thinks theres nothing she can do. Unfortunately there is everything to do. Fine line between helping someone and putting them off. Oh and they have seen Gilly Baird who has put her son on anti physchotics! Sorry went off on a tangent. Proper stools last 2 days - formed ( very rare here). Will post with any more develpments. My dr has his son and wife on 2 oz kefir twice daily ( he thinks you don't need more than that). Son doing well and wife has lost 10 pounds in weight! Peta -- - In Autism-Biomedical-Europe , " Gayle wrote: > > Peta-Always a rollercoaster ride. Guest guest
Peta, I'm attempting to keep my son, Phoenix off all types of sugar. Anything that turns to sugar. I'm following the rules of the Body Ecology Diet. I feel I need to keep it up for at least three months and see where he's at. I did a candida clear out with other means some 15 years ago and it took a severe starving out of the overgrowth of yeast by not feeding it at all. I didn't have the excellent tools that there are now.It did, however take some time. I respect your Dr thoughts about the kefir, but supposedly you can up to as much as you can tolerate. We are up to a shot glass about three times a day. This week is sooooo much better then last week. I'm very positive about the effect of the kefir and the body ecology diet in general. It's making a world of difference for me as well. Do check out the BEDROK yahoo group for more info if you are interested. best to you, gayle > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi we are about 4 weeks into coconut kefir and have just > upped > > > the > > > > dose > > > > > > to 2oz twice daily. Guest guest
Hi Gayle I suppose that means no fruit as well. I posted about the dose of kefir just as a matter of interest. My dr has only been using it a few weeks longer than us so it's still a learning curve ( isn't everything!) And of course your son is much bigger than mine. I'm glad you are seeing good results. I'm sure we are getting more awareness ie it really bothers him when we tell him off and sulking ( like my NT child does!) We still have lots of controlling issues and he belts Ross when angry. Charlie is watching me post this and is annoyed beacuse I wrote Ross. He now wants me to rub his name out! But he gets over it quickly. Thanks I'll look at the site. Good luck!
