List all other meds your are taking a give us your headache story.CE Grim MDWell, after the upset on Thursday I didn't start back on anti hypertensive meds as didn't here back from endo. As it was I checked my BP yesterday morning 130/85 ( I use a manual sphyg), so no problem there although still dizzy on and off. Then woke up around 2am with pounding head again, decided to take BP immediately 120/75- concluding that headaches not related to high BP.Really not sure what might be causing these headaches, I am pre menstrual so wondering if the surgery could have messed up sex hormones in anyway causing headaches or if its just a GA side effect. All thoughts gratefully accepted!! Best WishesPenny

Dear Dr Grim,Not on any meds at all apart from once daily dose of paracetamol 1000mg and 400mg ibupbrofen for post op pain PRN.I'm 15 days post partial left adrenalectomy done by laproscopy for Conns, was discharged 24 hours post surgery, BP at that point was 120/80. Seen by surgeon 9 days post surgery, BP 125/85. Prior to surgery I was taking 8mg doxasocin and 50mg spiro od, all stopped by endo immediately after surgery. No blood results as yet re: renin/aldo, although K was normal on discharge, without spiro it had been below normal range prior to surgery. I was prone to very nasty headaches prior to taking spiro.Headache started 12 days post surgery following an afternoon nap, in a panic I checked BP,

150/100, saw GP who didn't know history or have any understanding of Conns, BP 160/100 but not taken correctly. Called endo for advice as GP wants me to start back on doxasocin and spiro but I wanted to speak to my endo before restarting.Headache stopped within 4 hours, BP on waking yesterday 130/85. Woken last night by headache again, checked BP 120/75, BP this morning 130/85, low grade headache all day. Alleviated by paracetamol and ibuprofen. Will be calling endo again on Monday but if you have any advice that would be great. Suspect body still adjusting to normal aldo and BP.I would not add meds again for at least several weeks. Were you ever Dxed with migraine HAs? Many with PA have had this DX.Which reminds me we need to add migraine Hx to our questionnaire. Is this something you could work on? or others with headache problem in our group.'If so give details. Can you tell when they are coming on? Any warning signs that you will be getting a headache? such as flashing lights or wavy lines in vision? Dear Dr Grim,Thank you so much for the reassurance, I've had migraines on and off for about 6 years, only stopped once spiro was started, they got much worse after I gave birth.Dizziness is my main sign that one is on its way. Only thing to alleviate them was early pain relief, a darkened room and sleep! What would I need to do to help with headache questions?Best WishesPennyFrom:

Write up a series of questions you had wished the Drs had asked you. Give the answers and some other choices-like a multiple choice. include them in an email to us and we will edit. Keep in a word file on your computer so it can be updated. When we get a final version we will put in our master questionnaire.Your M HAs are almost certainly due to aldo and should go away if the source was removed. Did you have headaches as a child or teen? Lowering salt intake again may also help is they hang on.Did you get the path report yet? You and your family need it. You can post it here as well if you want I will look at it and them delete it.CE Grim MDDear Dr Grim,Thank you so much for the reassurance, I've had migraines on and off for about 6 years, only stopped once spiro was started, they got much worse after I gave birth.Dizziness is my main sign that one is on its way. I don't think its standard practice in the UK to give patients their path reports but a copy of the letter going to my GP with all my results should be copied to me, once I get that I'll post the results gladly.I will start on some headache questions next week. Best WishesPennyTo:

If others are like me and have some days that are better then others can fine it

hard to keep up with questions. I will still be putting input into this.

It would be better to save any files on this or some other online site. Things

happen that may cause information that is one one own computer to get lost.

We understand that this is not the standard in UK but one of our goals is to make it so. Ask your GP for the complete pathology report for you and your families sake and keep a copy of it in a safe place. The standard of practice around the world should be that patients have complete access to their own medical records.CE Grim MDI don't think its standard practice in the UK to give patients their path reports but a copy of the letter going to my GP with all my results should be copied to me, once I get that I'll post the results gladly.I will start on some headache questions next week. If I have this link right we can use this site. Have a few choices on how we want to set it up. can just make a email address that every one can use or can limit how can change files and who can only look at files. http://workspace.office.live.com--- In hyperaldosteronism , Clarence Grim wrote:>> Yes I agree. Any suggestions out there?
